It can be just you playing your instrument, some music you're working on or anything really!
Here's a short thing I played on the kalimba: https://voca.ro/1er65ZKPXALe [Play]

Nice job! Here's something I composed. I did it just for fun. I'm not too interested in actually learning music seriously.

You create some adorable Kalimba pieces of music anon. Big <3

That's a really nice tune, my first thought was: bg music in some kind of video game?

Well, I've just noticed that recording on the vocaroo website actually really messes up the quality of the recording. So yeah I really recommend recording with audacity, then uploading to vocaroo instead. This is the same exact laptop mic as used in the previous clips. Dammit

That's divine, anon

i feel like this is the type of music you'd hear in a rpg maker game
No need for vocaroo anymore
>>201
Why does it pause?
>>202
What do you mean? The silence at the end is an accident, I forgot to cut it out.
Anyway, here's a loopy version for you

>Terrible recording quality on windows for some reason
I've figured out why. I had the "realtek audio console" preinstalled and configured to "enhance voice signal", which meant that it ruined any recording that wasn't of a voice. So yeah, if you're recording anything on windows with the built-in mic make sure to disable any effects on the microphone.
I've sold out and now make dance music for the masses. My rpg maker game gon be groovy. <-- is not actually making an rpg maker game
Cranked out a quick loop this evening because I found the soundfont for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers games. It's kind of a miniboss sort of vibe.
Just finished this one today. I was aiming for one of those 50s bluesy romance songs.
Used >>203 to experiment with granular synthesis, made an ambient track

The original sounded a bit empty, this transformation creates a nice atmosphere. Do you mind if it's included in the /mu/ album?
I've never been a music guy, but one day I was feeling inspired and put this together. I was surprised at how easily it came to me
>>246
Wouldn't mind at all
>>247
The harmonics of the instrument and the noise drums are cool
>>279
Fucking rad. At first I was thinking paulstretch with a bitcrush? But then amplification and a delay. I like the flanging. Very Silent Hill
>>274
I'm a white boy and I enjoy music like this. Checks out
>>288
Gonna need some elaboration on that. I've been putting magnets all over my kalimba and can't get anything like that sound, though I have been getting funny wobbly stuff
>>294
MAYBE YOU HAVE TO QUADRUPLE THE MAGNET POWER, USE 40 MAGNETS!!!
>>293
I'm glad to hear that. A kalimba will never sound mad or energetic but it will do that to you
>>294
I've recorded a video showing you
>>295
A gator? On /mu/? It's more likely than you think.
>>297
WHAT IN THE NAME OF CHRIST AHAHAHAHAH THAT'S incredible anon I'm really flattered that you'd put so much effort to make an edit of my vid, thank you, you've made me happy
