agreed. There really isn't much reason to go on 22chan as opposed to 4chan, unless you're banned. What's the point of posting if so few are gonna read it anyway? At least it's better than 7chan.
its like out of nowhere this site died out of nowhere
like if people just forgot
not really, people are around except everyone is just lurking and waiting for a post to reply to, instead of making posts in the first place themselves
GOTTA GO FAST
22chen too slow
involve urself in conversations
What's his origin story?
Hes just Mighty from Mighty Action X from the hit series Kamen Rider Ex-Aid
You seem to have a lack of understanding about altchans, anon. A good example is fps multiplayer vidya. In 100 player servers your kills aren't going to be worth much unless you get a really big amount of them. On smaller servers, perhaps even the ones that have around only 6 players on, your kills matter and can decide the whole game.
Same goes for imageboards, if you want to be noticed and make a difference on 4chan you have to shitpost into infinity because posts there don't have any weight due to the huge amount of them and people who tend to lurk in one general might not have a single clue what's going on outside of it.
Here we don't get so many posts, so your post is most likely read by all the people who use this site. In my opinion, that's what makes it comfy, instead of being on 4chan where my posts probably fall on deaf ears, here on 22 I know that there are people who take the time to read my posts and think about them. They might not respond to them so quickly, but that feeling is still there that someone actually cares.
there are problem anon, we get only like 4 threads per day, like if the whole server where camping, waiting for the first fool to get out to shoot him up. no one is kickstarting conversations.
we must rebuild
Well, that is true. But we do need to find something that 22chan is good at. We are too few to speak about specific interests like specific games or specific anime of the latest seasons. Those are questions we need to answer- what exactly are we good at, how can we improve and what are we bad at?
>>2241>Problem is less threads and no one is kickstarting conversations
The threads is the kickstarter, and it's people choice if they want to reply. Don't care about threads, people do whatever they want, that's whats makes it comfy.
Does that mean we should just make more threads?
how about... a videogame tournament where each round is a diferent game?
I think we need some guidelines about it though. What kind of threads to make?
Like a multiplayer thing? That would be difficult because there isn't many of us and because of the different timezones.
not enough people for that
Oh wow, on the same second.
22chan is good at being a normie-free space, and the only problem is low numbers, but that's the less I can care about. The more the people, the more we need to deal with risks of more problems. Other than that, I believe that it's already good here, imageboard I believe should be now something that is just a thing we can talk from a while, not something that is like a place to really be active, it's my opinion, but people here don't really talk a lot, which shows that it shouldn't be more of a daily thing, other than once every few hours or more.>>2245
No, I think you should make one if you feel that the other threads didn't give any stage for you to talk about something.>>2246
Pretty much agree with >>2248
Read the rules, but in short, no normie stuff
sorry if i sound autistic
i guess one issue is to format properly?
to me, it seems like threads that utlise 22ch properly, you know, like not making it like a 4chan thread works well.
I meant guidelines not as rules, but as encouraging tips and tricks.>>2252
Can you elaborate more on that formatting? I understand avoiding niggerspacing, but I think the "new line for every new sentence" has also got to go, it's more of a thing seen on discord servers or IRC. >>2213
Ye, pretty much agrees with >>2252
I understand the redditspacing since it's pretty much not needed.
The "new line for every new sentence" pretty much I guess means another way than using periods or just to answer another question.
oh, yeah the whole "new line for every sentence" thing has got to go. i managed to fix the problem on my computer, but it could be a from what you said, a habit formed from disc and irc.
i guess make the thread work for "the long game" since they just sit for a while, sometime for weeks on end. i'll post screenshots of the threads that i'm talking about.>>2213
Tbh, I see no reason to the new line for every sentence to go. If it has anything that is normie stuff without the new line thing, then the format of the new line for every sentence is just a grammer thing that is not really important to change.
i'm not trying to be rude, or saying "your supposted to make it this way" im just saying what i've been seeing for the time i've been here.
Ok, the reason why this thread is bad, is because its "personal" its made for op and op only to tell his story.
perhaps it would be a better decision for op to make a storytelling thread, so people can read his flaxen story, and tell stories of their own or even talk about op's story, so they dont have to worry about stepping on op's shoes.
its made to be posted on 4chan, because the topic is ops story and he can quickly tell it, rake in a ton of views
and then it gets archived without any issues.
this type of thread is what i like to call a
"ice scupture in the desert" because it's awesome, but it made in rhe wrong place, or at least could have been made to last longer somehow, after all, discussions here last for months or so.
ROBO SAMEFAGGING ALL THIS TIEM!!!!!!¿??????!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!
ZOMG IS THIS WHY THE HOLOCAUST HAPPENED?????!!
OH NOES MY MASTER RUSE IS DEFUSED!
anyways >Gaymen Raiders>Not RoboManiac
i thought you were better that this.
I've noticed this thread late, so sorry for replying to many people>>2240
I like this post, what you say is definitively true. But I'm afraid most people are used to lots of daily stimuli from the internet and get bored with the 22chan tempo, you see it all the time (like this thread), so I believe that some growth wouldn't hurt. That being said people should learn to be more patient too>>2243
For me the big advantage on the lurking side is that on 4chan I have to continuously put effort into filtering out of my attention the low quality/bait which is the majority of posts, while here it's much better
Sometimes I think we could have stuff like "22chan reads a book" or "22chan listens to an album" or "22chan watches a movie" etc, where we have a few weeks to do that and then we discuss the media we chose. It could be a nice source for conversations>>2252>>2247
I think it's nice that you can do threads however you want to (within certain boundaries), it's freedom which allows creativity. Take >>2262
which is a bad thread but the "I'm Anonymous" trick is nice
However I think your idea is good, but imo we shouldn't call them "guidelines", rather "suggestions"/"ideas" about how to build your threads
Stuff like "Try to think about how people can participate in your thread, for example if you're telling a story, encourage others to share their experience about the topic of your story"
We could also look into 4chan threads that we like and try to understand what made them good
SORT of like a book club right?
"ok guy's, let's read/watch x thing, and discuss how we feel about it"
if that's the case, seems like a nice idea and builds culture.
>>2267>>2268>where we have a few weeks to do that and then we discuss the media we chose. It could be a nice source for conversations
i love this idea
So anons, what are we going to watch?
Should we make a separate thread about this?
Osmosis Jones, why? Why not?
>>2274>robomaniac didnt suggest kamen rider
Now this I did not expect.
ah, also Kamen Rider, thanks for remind me about it, Anon.
Cowboy Bebop or The Big O. Also maybe some Jazz musics as well.
should we make a thread to post ideas and also discuss the stuff we listen/watch/read?
also a "thread formatting" thread?
Ooo cowboy bebop sounds good though
never watched it before
So, the "thread discussion" thread is made, what are we going to do about the other thread? what will we call it? shall we lay down some ground rules of some type?
Possibly some sort of time borders, suggested media shouldn't be too new or too old in my opinion.
Not only that, but also just going through the catalogs and posting in older threads that seem interesting, that useually speeds things up.
nothing way too long, or at least breaking it up to digestible bites should help (say, 3 days to watch episode 1, or something of the sort) and are we going to do this at the same time? (like streaming?) perhaps doing it seperate should make things easier.
