This thread is for the Manga Rurouni Kenshin. (Manga and other related media also welcome) Personally i had watched a few live action movies that came out so once i realised it was originally a manga, To say the least i was hyped. It's going to be an interesting read to say the least.

I like the usage of humor, Its not distracting at all from the story. I like the mystery behind the main character, How they tease Kenshin's history with some characters and his place in history with the ushering of the meiji era of japan. He's lone wanderer type but quite compassionate. It's nice.
It seems like a common theme for the three chapters i've is for past actions, well intended or otherwise to come back and haunt you.
Kenshin was right in a way that kamiya should have payed attention to the people that was being taught and to watch for retards who might use what they learned for terrible reasons, Even people who seem honest take advantage of her like the old man who wanted to sell the dojo.
It was interesting to see discussions of swords like if they where modern day guns insofar you can't even carry one without getting arrested even though you are kind of safer with one, then without.
I'm assuming eventually someone from kenshins past is going to raise some hell or someone is going to come for kenshin assuming that with his death, the old era will close finally so that a new one can be ushered in but there hasn't been any hints of that yet.
Such a fucked situation, they labeled the sekiho army as frauds because the government couldn't afford the tax reform after the war and they they decided that they could pretend they never offered anything in the first place, besides the army, they wiped out anyone who even knew of the promise in the first place. No wonder Sagara was pissed.
