I've been shifting between stainless steel, and cast iron along with glass for cookware, for tools, it's cast cast iron, stainless steel, wood (home made wood tools). I threw away plastic stuff and some of the crock pots i had contained lead and other shit. Only a couple cast iron products i can remember are from the brand lodge, everything else is like made in america, from a farm, from a local blacksmith, (who don't use bullshit like lead as additives) from a person who does woodwork with all natural shit, but most of the others i have no clue about.
I also had to throw away my measuring cups because the fucking red dye they use for the letters contained cadnium. Also fuck teflon.
It's kind of a pain to treat the cast iron but at the same time food kind of tastes better when i use them? Kinda made the switch out of paranoia but i don't have any major regrets since i needed new cookware and my plastic crap cookware was falling apart so it had to go.
