this video gives a seven minute tl;dr, the tl;dr of the video itself being that there's some pretty suspicious numerological connections between their mix titled Steroids (Crouching Tiger Hidden Gabber Megamix) and a suicide bombing that happened at an arianna grande concert. among these connections are the significant recurrence of the number 22, such as the album being 22:31 in length, the bombing happening on may 22nd, 2017, and the album being released exactly 22 minutes before the bombing occured. there's also a handful of lyrics in the mix that could be construed as referencing the bombing. there was also some stuff involving death grips' twitter activity that's pretty odd, as mundane as it sounds.

if anything, the whole affair makes me imagine just how many numerological connections could be made between any two unrelated things, how deep you could dig the rabbit hole before you just run out of stuff to link together. even in the world of mysticism, the numerology people seem to sit at their own table away from the cooler/ less ungrounded people. but even so, this one in particular just has something cryptic and sinister to it, a vibe just crooked enough that im beckoned to look closer and witness what may be confoundingly real. i may, perhaps, be retarded. even then, it's still fun to think about.
