There was this store with this very long line, and i checked it out and it turns out the store re-sells amazon and target products that are returned to the store, but cannot be sold and are then sold to re-sellers and the abformentioned with the long line. It was worth the wait because i bought stuff for 80 bucks that actually cost around 300, (the prices are discounted, the highest stuff cost is 10 bucks even for damn near brand new stuff that might actually cost 500) I didn't know such a service existed. Also its basically first come first serve so if you aren't in line first you'll miss out.

You can affectively turn christmas into something to be exited about, But it's understandable that your not too happy, It's a commercialised holiday and for the most part family gatherings and the amount of work to provide or shop for the holidays can be stressful and exausting.

Yeah and it's cheaper then what their selling it for on amazon. Usually i don't like booksamillion because it's too pricey but it seems like i'm gonna have to check them out more especially if they throw in clearance or preowned books/manga/whatever for cheap.
I liked all you need is kill because it was a fun sci-fi story that packed an emotional punch kinda like Halo.

I just finally managed to set up my home server with TrueNAS Scale and honestly I am excited with how big this library for Jellyfin is going to get. I specifically bought 2x 8TB hard drives (with raid support but I'm not using it) so that my family can stream any movie tv anime etc. from the house instead of paying for retarded subscription services. I am wondering though about what method I'm gonna be using to obtain all of the shows I want though like I guess using something like anidb and then going through each anime and then looking it up on nyaa.si for the magnet link to then insert into my torrenting program? It's kind of tedious.

It doesn't surprise me that much given how much piracy was despised by online japanese internet spaces such as 2channel and 2chan and made fun of people that pirated calling them netrun-chu (Netrun refers to a piracy magazine that used to release in Japan that detailed all the ways to crack/hack software which used to sell like 200,000 copies per new release. Adding -chu at the end is essentially the same as adding fag at the end of something.)
Netrun was also infamously known to have taken net characters from 2chan (futaba if you don't know) and then basically kind of misrepresenting them and illegally releasing an anime based on them and then trying to profit off of the popularity with stuff like merch. I can share some articles if it sounds interesting.

Us? 22chan was made by newfags who felt like they missed out on the golden age of imageboards and so tried to recreate it for themselves; on one hand by getting inspired by old 4chan and on the other by having stricter rules regarding post quality (rule 2 and 3). Somehow, 5+ years later we're still here, despite the creator abandoning ship. We like discussion and OC, so if there's anything you'd like to talk about feel free to make a thread.

I completed a 72 hour water fast yesterday for health reasons. I didn't eat anything at all throughout those 3 days but only drank water, sparkling water, tea, and coffee (one time). Despite following instructions and creating a electrolyte drink which consisted of 1 tsp sea salt, 1tsp potassium chloride, and 1 liter of water on the last day my legs just started to freeze up for some reason and I still felt serious muscle fatigue in my body. I did lose around 8 pounds in the end and I kind of suspected I had pre-diabetes due to my urine smelling sweet despite not being that overweight at all but I did eat a lot of sweets during all of the celebrations from the last year but now it's completely cleared up and I feel a lot better. I will probably try to attempt this again starting next month or so.

from what i understand about the games story, (without watching any reviews) is that it's kind of like OG resident evil, but if it was blade runner with a lovecraftian twist. (the lovecraftian twist has something to do with the book "the king in yellow" by robert chambers.
some robot bitch has to find her friend but some bullshit is going on with robots that are going bonkers and some spooky shit is going down. i guess the gameplay is like the original resident evil and like theres a lot of survival horror going on.
my interest is peaked and i'd like to play and fully review it here but i'm still looking for it.

a manga, the focus is on anthropomorphic version of microbiology but with a dramatic story, like cops and robbers but with white blood cells vs viruses. (a lot of stuff you'd see in textbooks but its still pretty well done and not boring at all) so far i'm reading the original manga series and it's pretty fun. now there's a cat version coming out soon and i guess if anything it'll be like dealing with cat based issues like the effects of catnip or like dealing with roundworms lol, probably a comedic focus instead of drama.

If something bad happens and i am out of power, then it'll be used to charge small devices and batteries for various things.
If i am in a situation such as stranded in a place or going camping there also might be uses for one. Not planning on relying on it, It's just something neat to have when i'm desperate.

Yeah, After checking almost everything the dude made is on the wiki and all one has to do is look around. Fun stuff! I didn't realise there was a 3.0 version of the PNP and i did read the 2.0 version. What i don't like is a failed role leads to weapon decay (instead of weapon decay happening over time like in the game) And another thing is the concept of a "half mutant" which is retarded. Also i have just learned that chris avalone had a private fallout van buren PNP which was the source of everything seen in Fallout New Vegas, Apparantly some of the characters where actually some of the fallout devs RP characters like Arcade Gannon was Sawyers. In my opinion it's a pretty decent selection, I'm totally going to abuse the fuck out of this since i haven't seen most of the anime on the list.
so far i have been practicing my drawing with "drawing on the right side of the brain". i made it to chapter 3, i feel comfortable so far and the way things are explained are interesting.

I tried Vivy a while back, can't really recommend it. I did not finish the series. There are bumps of impressive animation, but the plot isn't very interesting. Whenever it starts to get kind of interesting it just drops the plot thread. The characters are disappointingly flat. Premise seems kind of interesting but it's overly episodic. It's supposed to be like this journey through time, but nothing really changes across the decades. If it followed through on what it appears to promise, and the setting gets shaken up in every episode because of the 50+ year time gaps, that would be really cool. As is however, it's just sort of "hey remember that one human, they are old now but here's their granddaughter that looks just like them lol lmao." There's no visible technological or cultural progress and that is lame and sad.

i'll go into detail about the anime that made me piss myself when i saw the ad on tv.
there are two girls, one hiding and another outside. the girl that is hiding is scared as fuck watching the other girl get taken away. the other girl, who was outside was being dragged away kicking and screaming by either disturbed villagers or a cult. the outside was like something you'd see in old japan with old buildings and that red arc thingy. intense music was playing and i remember there was a blurb stating something like "the scariest anime of all time"

I don't feel like discussing this in very detail but I've been watching Monster recently and I thought these 70 episodes would be like a really good way to distract myself but now that I am at the finishing line it feels like I've been watching a slice of life in disguise of a thriller anime. I used to originally live in the regions that the Monster anime takes place (Dusseldorf) in so I'm gonna cut it some slack and say that I enjoyed all the scenery portrayal of 70-90s Germany, but oh man these super pointless chase scenes it feels like this entire thing could have been summarized in 16-24 episodes and still been a decent watch.

adding to the list was some old as fuck Initial D racing game but it was janky as FUCK and was filled with broken english.
when i actually got to racing the AE86 the damn game broke down on me. there was a game i wish i had more time to play, it was a player vs player game where you had fighter pilot controls and piloted a mecha and it was neat as fuck although instructions written in english would have been great because the controls are VERY complicated, the abformentioned controls was split into two, each allowing delicate maneuvers.

Yeah TAIKO NO TATSUJIN I always go to play it if it's available at the local arcade where I am staying at but you can pretty much play it on a phone, console, and PC even buy a drum accessory to play. osu!'s taiko mode is based off of it.

If it's an area without Japanese arcade machines of course everyone is gonna try and drive to the one that has one even if it's far away, but 9 PM is usually the prime time for this stuff so it's always packed.

whew i was looking for anime and such under a specific genre (in a sense like lain) but also kinda trippy or whatever and i stumbled under this thing called "denpa" and its one of the most interesting thing i've ever heard of and exactly what i was looking for its just i couldnt find the fucking words to discribe it. i mean lain had one of the basic ideas but another thing was trying to re-create or like just understand an experience where i was awake for 11 days and when i started hallucinating and the lines between reality broke down like a waking dream.

I really want to see a second season of Houseki No Kuni. This was the second time I felt that CGI was superior to 2D animation and had it been done purely in 2D it would have been nowhere as good as it was with the CGI. I tried continuing from the manga but it felt like it had lost its charm completely and I was confused with the character addition that wasn't explained in the Anime at that time. Good CGI in anime is rare; the first time I saw it done EXTREMELY well was in Black Rock Shooter. I got obsessed with figuring out how certain scenes were done in 3D, leading me to explore Japanese net looking for the behind the scenes articles on it and man it really was an experience to see just how far they went to achieve certain details. Houseki no Kuni gave me the same excitement, and I translated and read every CGWORLD article about it and was fascinated at the stuff like the intricate hair designs.
I do wonder if anyone would be interested in a behind-the-scenes anime thread? It could cover not just CGI but general anime production.

Completely agree with the assessment of HNK's CGI. It's visually stunning as an anime, one of the best from recent years. Takes the stigma of CGI in anime and flips it on its head completely. The sound design and soundtrack also come together really well. All the clinking and chiming of every step, touch, and chip of the characters keeps their nature as living gemstones at the fore; never feels like they're human. The use of narrative to explore attachment from a zen Buddhist perspective is also great. A season 2 would make me incredibly happy. You can feel the effort that went into Houseki no Kuni/Land of the Lustrous' anime adaptation. Another thing i checked out was madoka magica. I had made a terrible mistake reading the manga version of madoka magica, (you might get a poor impression, it was intended to only exist in the anime format and it shows) instead i would highly suggest watching thd regular fucking anime version. Good stuff, i wasn't expecting the lovecraftian horror twist and god damn the paper-cut animation of the witches are amazing and uncanny. i can only imagine seeing those fuckers irl, maybe it would be like those scenes from the twilight zone movie.

I started watching and reading anime and manga off of my "need to read" list and i decided to watch cyber city 808 and to read monster.
Cyber city is outstanding, the visuals are incredible and the narritive is great. Started reading Monster, made it to chapter 7 of 162. My thoughts? I'm pissed off at the internal politics of the hospital that kenza is working at, at least hd realised it was bullshit and stuck to his morals. its a good read so far and i'm invested although i just realised there was a 9 year jump in time, it wasn't obvious and was implied by a detective.

watched cat soup, its hard to put words overall on how to even explain my feelings on this but i guess its darker and more abstract then the actual manga, and it also lost the episodic stuff the manga had. thats not a bad quality at all, it has a more dreamlike quality and its great. i'm kind of reminded of the animated stuff from the pinl floyd wall movie but even that doesn't come close to cat soup. something that made me laugh is the sequence to the beginning where the kitten deflates one of the talking cats. i wonder what the ending means exactly, where everyone besides the one kitten dissapears?
While reading monster, a sequence where Mr. Lunge tries profile kenza by imitating Salaryman, "domo i am an asian man" reminds me of the stuff bullseye was doing in garth ennis's punisherMAX run where he was profiling frank castle by pretending to be him. he traveled to all the places frank went, including his secret hiding place and talking to himself like lunge does, but went the extra mile to go and kidnap several families and has them murdered to see how frank felt, to become him. it turns out he finally figured out that frank didn't give a fuck about his family, he learned by deduction that frank divorced his wife shortly before his family got killed. he wasn't motivated by their murder, he was motivated on them being gone so he can kill a fuck ton of niggers with no restrictions or baggage. i think lunge is motivated by the "thrill of the hunt" and is blined to tenma's innocence.

I finally finished monster. It was long, but the length was justified. Most action movies havd a sappy ending where everything works out, the bad guy is killed and the hero gets the girl and whatever, but it wasn't the case for this story it's fucking perfect. So many people suffered and some of the characters had decent endings but for tenma, its bitter sweet since he has to save johan yet again only for him to run off. Monster reminds me of a hitchcock film for some reason. Either way it was great while it lasted and i can see why it's a classic.
the next anime i'll be watching is the sub version of ghost stories, and i'll read the devilman manga.
Alright niggers, i'm not giving up on my dreams. I bought a nice pair of nippers, and i'll buy some more tools and start actually building my model kits. Those stupid fucking translators of one piece fucked up so bad. I just realised in the anime that "rafta" was supposed to be LAUGH TALE and because of those stupid fucks i was left scratching my head for ages. Also even now in the year 2024 in the manga "zoro" is translated to "zolo" even though its an easy fix they just kept it that way for so long? And another thing, so in the current water 7 arc a dude gets a rock thrown at him by another worker because they where supposed to extinguish a fire but WAY EARLY ON in skypea a scene happens where a girl gets a rock thrown at her but they cencored it with a fucking tomato, killing any emotional impact the scene was supposed to have, keep in mind this was from the """offical""" anime not the shitty 4kids dub. I guess it's kind of funny but honestly its bullshit, i already bought six volumes of the manga but i'll probably skip it till they release a better translation in the future and i still am enjoying the anime for now, but i am hoping they pull off the new one coming out and i'll skip out on the old anime in a heart beat.

It's still watchable and i still enjoy it, especially with cp9 literally being the cia but i just feel in my gut sometimes that i know that if there was a better translator team, better artists or even just a better translation of the manga then you'd have real fucking gold. Also i really do like the voice actors of the dub, the one who plays luffy though is a real hit or miss.

Sogeking is one of the best things to happen in the one piece anime. The musical opening with the toei tokusatsu visuals is exclusive to the anime and i fucking love it. Checking out the storyline in the manga, the appearance of sogeking is less dramatic with him just muttering the song to himself.
I like the japanese version better with the way LOCK ON was shouted but the english version is still great. The english voice actor has a great sogeking voice and i like the auditory transition between usopp and sogeking.
happy halloween everyone! i've been watching the 1970's alien movie. other then that its been uneventful.
I bought street fighter 30th anniversary collection. it's 13 games from the series, all of which i haven't played. i have read about the series in the nintendo power magazine but i never really could snag a copy for ages. Played a tiny bit of one of the games at the arcade, but now i have all of them. Will be fun to actually check out the series with my own eyes.

i'm gonna buy taiko rhythm festival for the switch, the other games are too pricy for my liking and rhythm festival is like 24 bucks on amazon, i'm curious how it's gonna work without the expensive taiko switch drums, i saw a few vids online of people using the joycons without problems, and also i think someone mentioned using the buttons which is also fine. i'm happy atleast that its still possible to buy a physical copy and i'm still pissed at myself for not buying a copy for 10 bucks at walmart when i saw it. such is life.
i guess something that comes to mind is that im slowly gathering games they had at the arcade, which is comfy because not only i can train, but if i don't have access to the arcade, i'll have a little slice of it at home. ( ● 3●)

even though i trained since i was 4, i feel like i made a major mistake by just abandoning it when i was 16 when i got my black belt, like maybe i should have kept training every day? what if my training is all gone? like if it isn't like riding a bike where all it takes is a little test drive and then you'll remember everything?

It's a psychological horror game that was supposed to be high quality stuff. I saw a playthrough ages ago and its kind of nice that it was ported.

i liked how there where charts explaining things like what plans a character had or explaining weapons or visualizations. i also like the way faces are drawn and i like the tone and setting of the story, i always dig gritty survival stories and apocalyptic settings.
I found a copy of dragon quest V for the DS, i heard it was good stuff.
I also found a copy of the ds game glory of heracles, i had it as a kid but i sold it for unknown reasons so maybe its worth a shot to replay it and see if it's any good.

Speaking of dragon quest, Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies is a game i plan on replaying its fucking epic for a ds game but i had fucked myself over stats wise and i deleted my save out of frustration. It was my first dragon quest game ever.

I snagged a copy of balders gate, dark alliance for the PS2. It was damn near mint minus the cover of thd disc having a protective cover stating that it belongs to a blockbuster knock off. But who cares? I got it for cheap and i heard it was fun, And i always wanted that old school DND experience so i'm hyped.

Welp, had an idea for a hypothetical FoxTrot movie now that I returned for a while after taking a 2 to 3 year break. It goes along the lines of this:
Jason tries pulling a prank involving one of his rockets on Eileen, but it backfires and causes property damage to some of the homes in their neighborhood. This leads to having him choose between juvy or community service withEileen calling most of the shots. Meanwhile Denise breaks up with Peter, leading him to take his heartbreak out on things like sports or grades. On another note Paige desperately needs a date for the prom, eading her to end up with Morton, under the condition that she give him a proper makeover. All of this happening while Roger and Andy try to plan out their anniversary.
Obviously this would lead a character or two getting together to give each other tips on their actions (Denise telling Eileen not to go too far with her power over Jason and Roger telling Morton that he shouldn't have to try too hard to please Paige if she's being too strict) but I never could brainstorm that far.
Eitherway it was always an overly tricky thing to adapt and I certainly am way past that aptitude to even try, especially given my overall experience with the fandom and how hard it got to really stay in it..

another positive thing that comes to mind is how much change we had, i mean for this instance we had so many features and updates added within the span of days where before it took years for stuff to be added. also we have more creative people and original content where before atleast it took longer for that type of stuff to pop up.

It's nice to have a portable verson of the arcade game. the music selection is nice too although at the moment it's limited because i have to earn more bt playing. persona 5 music was a nice touch.
