I like that meme. It's common on 4chan for people to say "I hope this is bait" when replying to a post with a take considered dumb or bad to have. In that context, the meme is a funny reply
Of course, it is not strongly related to the topic of this thread, but I assume OP saw a link in people just expressing their ideas on stuff and wanted to encourage them to do so without fearing judgement

I rewatched CrowbCat's video called "The Bioshock Infinite we never got" today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muJYTeQlvC4 [Play] and got very interested on what Ken Levine's (the guy who was interviewed) thoughts were about the cut content in Bioshock Infinite that was featured in the demo so I managed to find a interview where he gets asked that exact question: https://youtu.be/8X3LSx0woMM?t=1689 [Play]
The primary reason was asking questions like "would this really fit into the world we are trying to make" and "Would we really have enough time to do all of this?" he was also discussing how for the animals they couldn't really afford the time and effort to create a new skeleton rig for all of them as all Bioshock characters at the time were using the same human skeleton rig.
It's a really interesting interview and I would recommend watching that specific segment if you were previously interested as to why it was cut.

Depends on what skills precisely are at hand. Of course we have amateur composers, but if there were some animators and aspiring voice actors we could do an animated short or something similar. If we had programmers and simple artists, perhaps we could make a joke 22chan themed VN. It's all dependent on what anons can do individually, and whether or not they would even be willing to pitch in consistently on a larger project

One idea I had is that we could probably create something similar to the "4chan4eva" flash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NNMHxqJp6A [Play].
We would make a thread and see if anons can compose a catchy but short 40 to 90 second song and then we could write a lyrics to be used and UTAU the vocals or if that doesn't work we can task anons with finding a song that fits that description and the best fitting one would be picked. We could then split the song into scenes to match the music like say the intro is 5 seconds long and then the next scene is 10 seconds long and so on. Then we have anons storyboard what happens throughout the song which usually involves drawing frames without any effort (like stick people) to illustrate their vision for each scene. Once the storyboard is completed anons could either draw a bunch of assets to be used in the song or have them submit images that match the 22chan theme which could just be a image of a 22chan post for example.

I think it's important to give a project that 22chan can make as a community a lot of thought before we actually decide to make anything because working in a group of random anonymous people on a imageboard there is a lot of consider. Like for example what if you have an anon that picks a part of the project to make and we don't hear from him ever again? A lot of wasted time will be spent on promises that don't deliver so there should be a way to make sure that doesn't happen although we don't have many people here to go around.

Absolutely. I cook at home a lot trying to recreate store bought products since I live in the U.S and they put the worst food additives imaginable inside of them which is also then considered safe by the FDA, so I'd love a thread where I could share some of those recipes.

Does anyone know of a good videohosting website? Personally i'm looking for something with maximum "muh freedumb of speech", the less rules the better. privacy oriented and with a large file size so i can upload large videos. Have some conspiracy related stuff i want to save, and i have plenty of other reasons why I'd use one. China has always gotten shit for isolating itself from the internet, but I think these new developments go to show that the US' approach to the question isn't much different.
Thing is, up until now almost the entirety of the internet was based either in america, or in american ally states. So in a way, it was under control. Now that a truly foreign state owns a major platform we get to see how "free", international and supposedly neutral the internet really is

Cute idea, but I think putting everything together would be a lot of work even with assets, so someone reliable (you?) should commit to that. And then maybe it could work? You'd have to see if people are interested in it, really. Maybe we could make a thread for community projects where people post ideas and the ones that get a lot replies get picked up? People here seem to be willing to do something cool together occasionally, but then again making a one page comic took us a year or so iirc. But if you make it easy to participate, it could go faster, but then you'd be the one putting a lot of work. Hmm...
If you just want to have some fun with anons I think running a quest would be the easiest thing to do. And that's still surprisingly hard considering nobody has ever finished a quest on 22chan...

It's too bad with the amount of remakes happening instead of taking the risk of making something new but I guess that's just how it is with the new state of the industry. It's like the people behind these remakes, like CAPCOM's Resident Evil 4 Remake, have completely run out of creative juices or never had any to begin with and are catering to the wrong audience. They're totally obsessed with making these games ultra "realistic" instead of embracing these games original campy style, you know, that exaggerated and intentionally artificial vibe with ironic and humorous elements where the games themselves are supposed to be not really taken that seriously. I am not looking forward to the Metal Gear 3 remake because I am very sure this is going to be the same case.

I am continuing an old project of mine which is to make homemade SJIS characters, so far i am slowly getting the hang of it. Another project of mine is making CSS themes for 22chan, Although the format easy to access and fuck with i am not getting the hang of it (some things confuses me) and i actually dont know what to make exactly. I like the 4chan halloween theme but it almost feels wrong to just copy past it and not make something original. Also what would be a cool theme for sewers? nothing comes to mind. Perhaps i am experiencing a form of Writer's block or perhaps i am retarded and unsuitable for such a task. Time will tell.

Sorry about the CSS theme format for 22chan being a bit complex... I realize that right now there are too many classes and I keep adding new ones to the previous stylesheets, but I wanted to make it so that they are highly customizable and that every part of the website can be changed. I am currently also working on the Spider stylesheet but also on a bit of a roadblock since I think it looks rather weird right now. I can't decide on the name, link, text, and timestamp colors but I think the other stuff looks fine I guess?
>I am continuing an old project of mine which is to make homemade SJIS characters
I think it would be awesome to make our own AA characters and maybe even create short stories with them interacting with each other. I know 2channel also has something like this on their AA board which started back in like 1999 with characters like Mona, Hikki, Giko, Shii, etc. which you could I guess draw some inspiration from?

We should also probably make a thread dedicated to creating AA art and sharing various helpful software that helps with the process.

Another thing I would like to note is that the color feature can be used to spice up SJIS art (text used as water, blue and so on) and it can be used to tag characters when telling a story.

what was that noise? I had heard a noise unlike a goat learning how to speak.
don't be a sissy, it's probably a dog or something. animals tend to stay away from people. foresight is a bitch and I didn't know my friend was scared.

Feature can be used and abused more ways then you think so i think its useful.

>CSS theme format for 22chan being a bit complex
I guess my problem was that some stuff was labeled while others wasn't so I had no clue on what I did when I attempted to change the color of something. also I'm not exactly a master programmer so I can't do stuff like make text glow or make CSS snowflakes fall but I can change the color of stuff easily lol.

Thanks for the links!
>make a thread
I think that would be fun. on old 22 we had a thread for posting and making SJIS art and it was pretty popular I think so I can't see why that wouldn't work out well.

I learned of two interesting jobs today. One, There are sites that allow you to access those traffic light cameras, and you get payed to report people who run red lights. Another, Stringers. Freelancers who record videos (juicy information that is newsworthy) and give them to news organizations for money. One way of stringing is staying up in the middle of the night while listening to a police radio and driving to a crime scene and recording footage before the news (or even the police) get there.
I bet those people must have interesting stories to tell.

Microsoft recently changed their EULA to include a lot of vague and easily manipulable "rules" that go so far as to say that usage of even the name under contexts they don't like can get you banned.
To put it quickly, the new EULA demands that all online servers be 100% kid friendly, and it considers all online servers to be commercial, I.E owned by Microsoft. Outside of the game, Microsoft are close to being allowed to dictate what you can and can't say about the game flat out. Things like subscription services are also banned completely, as well as server queues. This probably isn't in-depth enough though so I recommend you check it out yourself.
In particular, 2B2T, one of the oldest and most legendary Minecraft servers ever, changed their ToS into what can only be called a shell of its former self. It's no longer even an "anarchy" server, just a "survival" server. The rules page is pretty long now too, and items like Elytras or End Crystals have been banned outright. A lot of items have had their stack size decreased to 1 as well, like God Apples and Enchantment Bottles. 2B2T is notorious for having a really long ass queue time because of how popular the server is, and it's also got a subscription based "VIP Pass" that allows people to skip the line.
I don't play 2B2T but even I understand just how devastating changes like this are to such a storied place. It's sad, and I can't see the server lasting for much longer.
Thankfully if you use a 3rd party client none of these new rules apply to you unless you play on big name servers.

an example is the movie, a quite place. once a child dies, turn the audio off. before a woman is about to give birth, turn the audio on. on some devices, you have the ability to change the video via filters. you can turn a modern movie into a black and white movie. in some cases it can actually enhance the movie, sepia color is also availible. i have also heard some movies can be watched without the video (and games too)

We live in an era where everything gets a live action adaption and videogames gets constant remakes and remasters. I find it funny but also very fucking sad. To counter that the film and gaming industry is getting fucking railed by strikes, Although i doubt it'll make an empact.

If you were to make such a thread, you could make a general one on /b/ for all media rather than 5 different ones. I would call such a thing "fan remixes", since you're fundamentally changing the original work. I think stuff like videogame mods and extended versions of tracks fit the idea. Recently I've tried romhacks. There is one for FFVI that provides a better translation, fixes bugs and decensors certain scenes. That being said, the example you provided doesn't sound that interesting to me.

I took one for the team and watched the one piece live action show. There is overacting, slightly poor acting and ok-ish acting. What i mean by overacting is like going to a 'con of any type and talking to a cosplayer, weeb or otherwise. Not in a good way of overacting like in a way that makes sense like in a comedy or something. I haven't watched one piece since i was a kid when it aired on 4kids (lol they heavily censored the hell out of it too, the blond cook guy was supposed to be a smoker or something and they changed it to him having a lolly pop in his mouth) So i don't exactly know if its "accurate". It looks like they tried pretty fucking hard. The props, Visuals and sets look pretty damn good. Choreography, its poorly timed to where it looks like a person is hitting air, This happens most of the time, the other times it is pretty decent and they tried to do well. I had only watched episode one, and i am uninterested in watching the other episodes. The story is interesting and the graphics are incredible but the acting feels disingenuous. Most likely this is what the live action cowboy bebop was like.

I say this but the best fucking live action adaption i have ever saw in my life was a live action version of Rurouni Kenshin and i didn't know it was an adaption. Then i googled it out of curiosity, I even forgot the name untill i was researching the Meiji era of japan and i realised that it reminded me of somthing epic i watched.
It was called Kenshin: The Begining and the second part was called Kenshin: The final. Both where released in 2021. I need to read the manga.

i am going insane, i keep trying to find a movie i watched but with no results. it was a horror movie set in space, some bullshit about a virus or something then some psychological horror and at the end of the movie it was actually all bullshit and the guy was dreaming in a cryochamber. i hate it when i forget shit, the last time i googled "natzi anime" for five hours and it turns out i was looking for jin-roh: the wolf brigade.

I was walking around walmart and i spotted some seinen manga for 7 bucks, Called Batman: Justice Buster. I was expecting it to be shit, With like something fucking stupid like batmans brain getting placed into a japanese schoolgirl or some bullshit but instead it was pretty fucking solid. The dude who wrote it basically did a fuck ton of ultraman manga so i think that maybe explains the quality but i digress. It's like this nigger actually read the fucking batman comics understood the important aspects of the character, and put his own interesting spin on things. A very orignal take.
There's some neat dialogue between batman and superman after supes tried to recruit bats into the justice league, its honestly great. I'm also extremely fucking curious about this versions joker, who is a masked mystery man/antihero kinda like old school characters who straight up murders the bad guys, apparantly he's a detective which is his irl job

I'm happy, Looking forward to future issues.
