Let's discuss all of the features that 22chan is missing right now.
>>1
Here are the features listed on livechan. The list includes: Adding the report button, clickable URLs, and Catalog view, and livechan also wants to be able to click on the post number to reply to the post.
>>2
Having to manually type the arrows out is a pretty cool autismo feature in my opinion and a decent normie filter.
I would really like webm support (with audio).
>>3
>I would really like webm support (with audio)
Seconding this. And .mp4 support like old 22, too
i want /swf/ board!
I would prefer 24 hour format to AM/PM
>>4
> And .mp4 support like old 22
Yes please!
Features that 22chan is missing
*Cats
*word formatting
*cats
*monafont for ASCII
*cats
*thingy that limited the amount of words you can post to ;ike 500 or so
>>8
>500 or so
What's up with you? 2000 is the ideal, maybe even more
Oracle
Never forget oracle
number of posts in the thread
Seconding the 24 hour format and oracle, maybe a roll feature as well since rolls can be useful sometimes and 22 has never really been fast enough to use them normally. Number of individual posters is a feature from 4ch that I wish was more widespread.
An autoupdate feature a la 4chX would be great
I'm definitely missing /all/ from the old site. I understand the site is like a week old but I hope all the no brainer things are added eventually.
>>4 >>6 >>10 these guys are cool
I liked how on old 22chan every post by OP gets tagged with [op]
>>15
OP should be something well thought out. Some threads dont need an OP and either is offputting, or is abused by an egotist in a similar manner as namefagging. Also from experience old 22's OP didnt track with IPs verry well and the actual OP would eventually loose his status like when resetting cookies or something. Perhaps it can be an optional feature that can be activated, and even secured via a password? Even if the OP changes his computer, he wouldnt be able to lose his status.
Although i dont know when or if it would be needed perhaps secure trips could be nessessary in the future.
A report button,
Well thought out like something you'd see in a buisness.
Also a in-house captcha.
>>16
>the actual OP would eventually loose his status like when resetting cookies
This is true, the OP-identifier was rooted in cookies. I don't think it should be implemented as anonymity is central to 22chan. An optional trip system like 4chan could be nice but I think misusing it to namefag should be a bannable offense.
Flash board with ruffle, Tegaki.
>>19
I agree whit you
Also a right mouse button menu whit relevant options would be good
Yes please webm, I wish for a webm thread.
More banners! Easy way to spark up community interest, build identity, and stand out a little bit more visually.
>>22
The mods have most of the old banners. They just need to add them.
Browsing 22chan on my smartphone works, but it could be better. Postings are stretched and buttons are not displayed correctly. Maybe there's a way to improve that, but it's not urgent.
>>13
Speaking of which how hard is it to implement some kind of compatibility whit 4chanX?
>>24
I think 22chan is mainly designed for use on a computer.
>>24
That problem is entirely on (You)
>>28
Ah, I see you are a Gentleman of culture. Next, clearly 22chan should be designed for usage on the 3DS (accept nothing less then superior hardware)
>>29
More like a DSI
a proper quote feature, and cross board quoting.
a thing to tell out when a thread will be locked wwhen reaching the post limit/when it'll die after getting bumped off the board.
>>32
in your dreams
An admin name to worship.
>>34
Give admin a name = Board goes to shit
also
Name = Non Anonymous Egotist Internet Celeb
twoot = shit admin
moot = shit admin
hotwheels = shit admin
insert altchan admin name here = website goes to shit
New 22chan staff = Experienced Anonymous 22chan staff who need not be named. This is better for us since if an admin was shit he'd get fired and we'd never know or care, Also it prevents dumb drama and retards picking sides.
TLDR 22CHAN STAFF IS ILLUMINATI???!1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-pxd_Pkk38 [Play]
>>35
thanks for clearing that up for us, illuminati. It's virtuous to take the humble approach
>>34
Fuck that. I like that 22 doesn't have an admin figure. The staff is anon, we are anon.
colored dubs. (it would make the post numbers change to multicolor every time dubs appeared) a useless but fun feature.
Auto-refresh would be nice, even though the board is currently slow enough for it not to be important
Word filters
I've just read the rules, I suppose windmills even for religious or humorous purposes are still prohibited?
>>41
If they are for religious reasons go ahead.
I'd like for example 22chan.org/mu to redirect to 22chan.org/board/mu for all boards, so that typing it is easier
>>53
Does it take you that long to click your way to a board?
it would be cool if i didn't lose text from comment field after refreshing the page
>>54
No, but if I already know I want to visit a specific board, it's quicker to type it out. Not essential by any means, but I also thought it was trivial to implement
What do you anons think about saging? I personally like to polite sage when I feel like my reply isn't worth a bump, but maybe it's better not to
>I personally like to polite sage when I feel like my reply isn't worth a bump
I do that too.
>>57
Didn't even know we could sage lol.
>>59
He was asking if we'd want saging as a feature
>>61
Will fix.
We're missing a lot of more cosmetic stuff like the extra quotes on the front page and banners. If the devs think they would be able to implement more banners, we should make a thread about it here and get some more variety going. Encouraging more OC might also get some peoples hopes up more since this place has felt a lot more sad in recent times
>>63
A lot of the old banners were preserved, they just need to be added to the site.
Niniba theme as default

try [.sjis][./sjis] without the dots

A catalog? I'm on mobile lol so maybe I can't see
I just noticed /f/ doesn't let you reply with a file inside a thread. Can this be added?
Seconding the catalog, it makes it hard to make new posts when I can't easily tell what threads are already available. It's an awful feel making a thread and finding out there's already one like it, or having an experience and not being able to find the right thread to share it in.
>>201
I think we have a catalog already. Lurk more.
>>203
Such a mystery to me as to why Firefox is displaying everything in a serif font as opposed to the Arial one.
>>204
It's the same on Opera and Pale moon
>>204
>>205
Alright I fixed it. The problem was how I didn't separate the font size and font family into different classes in the stylesheet CSS. This shouldn't have taken so long so I am sorry about that. I did change the font to the Tahoma font that 22chan was originally using and now I am wondering whether we should stay on this font or switch back to using the Arial one.
we need /t/ and /ic/ back
>>207
Are we active enough for those boards to be added? Is it popular/is it discussed a lot on 22chan 3.0 nowadays?
>>207
>>208
In my memory, those boards only got posts once in a blue moon. It would be nice if other boards got more posts before more is added.
Flashes having a descriptive tag
[a] animation
[g]game
[jp] anime, otaku
and so on.
Wordfilters.
Oracle and Dice roll are still missing
Italics
it was useful for conveying emotions although it depends on if it would be useful or not. Would saging even be of use? Is saging even a name worthy if use in a western imageboard or should the name get changed if we did get that feature back?
I for one can live without it.
>>1
>missing feature
Not being a faggot
>>234
Can you elaborate?
>>24
Seconding this.
