10:02 PMAnonymous# No. 5I have a list of questions. Should I ask one by one or dump them at once?
10:02 PMAnonymous# No. 6Go ahead!
10:03 PMAnonymous# No. 722chan 1.0 used to have a data page easily accessible from the front page offering data like posts per hour and how many users view 22chan across a week or month. Are there any plans for this feature to return?
10:05 PMAnonymous# No. 8>>7 I don't see why not I guess although there's no type of data tracking on 22chan implemented yet.
10:05 PMAnonymous# No. 9I should also probably mention that the CSS for townhall was reworked as well and there won't be problems like last time with disconnections every 30 minutes.
10:07 PMAnonymous# No. 10Also, for those who are unaware, 22chan town hall is our annual gathering of the userbase where you can ask the staff questions and have a semi-meta chat about whatever.
10:07 PMAnonymous# No. 11>>8 I see, good to know Are there any topics or themes you'd like to see crop up more often around here?
10:07 PMAnonymous# No. 12Topic and themes?
10:08 PMAnonymous# No. 13For threads and discussion
10:09 PMAnonymous# No. 14>>8 Regarding gathering data, on that topic, I'd also like to probably see about implementing some kind of ip-cleaner task that only keeps the ip-addresses of users for around 30 days or so and then deletes them since I don't see a reason why it would be a good idea to keep them for a long time.
10:11 PMAnonymous# No. 15>>13 personally, i'd like to see people telling stories although its already kinda happening with that one cool comic that one anon made on /b/
10:12 PMAnonymous# No. 16Did you guys know tegaki was added?
10:15 PMAnonymous# No. 17I wanted to also maybe ask a question to the users and find out what boards you guys mostly browse? I kind of suspect ever since /all/ was added barely anyone clicks on them anymore and watches threads only on /all/ but I might be completely wrong here.
10:16 PMAnonymous# No. 18Personally i use /all/ then and there amd i browse by a board by board basis
10:16 PMAnonymous# No. 19
10:17 PMAnonymous# No. 20>>14 Oh OK, I didn't think it through that usage stats would need user data storage lol. Always good to see how much privacy is valued here. >>15 That comic is fantastic, I can't wait to see the continued adventures of Percinnius >>16 I did, I've been looking for a good opportunity to use it >>17 You got it, I just use /all/. Sometimes I use the random threads on the front page, too. I'll go into individual boards if I'm looking for something specific. Next question: Do you have any suggestions for anons trying to be conscious citizens of 22chan?
10:18 PMAnonymous# No. 21define consious citizen
10:20 PMAnonymous# No. 22>>20 I don't think they need user data storage although I guess it would depend on what you want to count as a view for example.
10:21 PMAnonymous# No. 23Someone who wants to be a part of 22chan, to make threads that keep boards healthy and replies that keep threads healthy.
10:29 PMAnonymous# No. 24>>20 >>23 I think what at least me and the other staff care about primarily has to be like the opening post of a thread which determines the quality of replies, interest, and longer lifespan. We don't ask for every reply to a thread to be like some like really very thought out amazing quality post, but it's like on 22chan as you can probably see based on how many pages there on a board the threads don't get deleted at all and are all to stay indefinitely (at least for now) there's like nothing considered necro-bumping here.
10:33 PMAnonymous# No. 25>>24 I also want to mention don't be scared to go to older threads and reply to them as well as I'm sure everyone appreciates seeing something else than the same 10 threads being replied to on /all/.
10:35 PMAnonymous# No. 26I think I see what you mean, thank you Have you ever considered ways to showcase OC, such as an official content of the month on the front page or an admin-curated 22chan gallery?
10:36 PMAnonymous# No. 27>>23 When it comes to replies, I'd say that as long as you're contributing something interesting or relevant to the subject at hand then it's a perfectly valid post. Even stuff that may be controversial like being too pessimistic or negative about certain topics is perfectly fine. In my case, I think a single anon contributing to multiple threads is highly valuable because it keeps discussion organic and brings more points of view on /yu/-related topics, which increases the overall quality of the site.
10:39 PMAnonymous# No. 28>>27 This reminds me with how many times the host provider was moved to different countries and people still think that stuff like posting images of windmills are banned here which as far as I know they are not.
10:45 PMAnonymous# No. 29>>26 Well there is the AA art box on the home page for showing off official AA art but like I don't think anyone has made anything decent yet with that to be displayed there, or maybe I just wasn't looking enough. We have not considered other ways yet as in there was no real discussion about it until now although it does feel a bit dumb for someone to post OC just for it to disappear quickly due to new replies to a thread and it not being visible anymore unless you go to that specific thread. I guess the closest you can come to this would be the Neocities website which if maintained frequently would probably not be such a bad idea to display on the front site?
10:52 PMAnonymous# No. 30Damn, I forgot about the neocities site and got distracted by the dunce game. I'm back now.
10:53 PMAnonymous# No. 31My final question is, what are your favorite memories of 22chan?
10:54 PMAnonymous# No. 32Like before it was shut down?
10:54 PMAnonymous# No. 33At any point.
10:59 PMAnonymous# No. 34>>33 You know that has to be probably when we were all making stuff on the newer instance of ourworldoftext. Like the chess game played by Otter and the gator gang comics god there was a lot of stuff I don't even remember now that I loved on there.
11:40 PMAnonymous# No. 35>>31 For me it was old /yu/ in general. I can't really pinpoint the reason why, but it felt incredibly special to me. Some /b/ threads were pretty good too like the classic Ice cube one and the /mmc/ while it was running its course, those are all things I fondly look back on. Pardon the late reply, I just wanted to post this again, easily one of the first things I always think of when the site comes to mind https://files.catbox.moe/m5ujb9.png [Show]
11:51 PMAnonymous# No. 36Those were good times
11:51 PMAnonymous# No. 37I'm #1ae90108 btw, stepped away for some food. Thanks for answering my questions, this has been chill. Thank you for your continued dedication to this site.
11:52 PMAnonymous# No. 38Let's all do our best!
11:53 PMAnonymous# No. 39I'll keep this running for a few more hours since I'm expecting the input of other staff members who are not here yet. So if anyone new joins please feel free to ask more questions.
12:46 AMAnonymous# No. 40>>25 i'd like to add that if you made a thread that's dead in the water don't be afraid to bump it even regularly and if not, who knows some guy might bump it a year later and all of a sudden it'll get 100 posts
12:46 AMAnonymous# No. 41
01:23 AMAnonymous# No. 42buuuuuuuump
01:41 AMAnonymous# No. 43its that shit right there thats the problem lol
01:41 AMAnonymous# No. 44
01:42 AMAnonymous# No. 45that one person that just types "bump"
01:43 AMAnonymous# No. 46>>29 i agree with this especially since its a fan site and i think if we did have an offical OC page it might look like we are forcing stuff
01:48 AMAnonymous# No. 47>>33 the old /x/ thread that would kick into overdrive during halloween, watching anime with everyone and makong great threads like the blue gender one or the captian falcon anime and seeinf great OC and even new banners come from it
02:12 AMAnonymous# No. 49>>48 I wonder if he missed townhall but yeah just look at places like futaba channels they too have administrators who are all nameless with the userbase actually deciding to name them themselves.
02:56 AMAnonymous# No. 50Thanks everyone for coming to the townhall. I will be closing it now.
03:00 AMAnonymous# No. 51Actually another 30 minutes.
03:01 AMAnonymous# No. 52>>12 I'd like to see people going into excessive detail about anime and I want some more topics for the random board.
03:02 AMAnonymous# No. 53>>21 Someone who is aware of the in's and out's of something and acts on what they can do to improve the situation.
03:04 AMAnonymous# No. 54>>24 I personally revive threads all the time because I feel like the threads are the best place to say what I am going to say.
03:07 AMAnonymous# No. 55well thanks for coming everyone
03:08 AMAnonymous# No. 56>>49 I think he didn't think of a good name for the staff.
03:11 AMAnonymous# No. 57>>31 Summer 2021 because I got my first job and while I was working people would be posting. It was exciting to see posts come in while I was wagecucking.
