TL;DR post good music from random people
We live in a day and age where anybody can record an album and put it online. This means that there are tons of obscure recordings in all sorts of styles and chances are you can find stuff that's really creative and unique if you look for it. People always complain about contemporary popular music, but online you can probably find what appeals to your taste simply because of the amount of music that is out there. Of course, the problem is that you might have to sift through a lot of music first, much of which is going to be bad or very amateurish. But this is what this thread is for: sharing our best finds.
The two major sites for this kind of exploration would be https://bandcamp.com/ and https://soundcloud.com/. Youtube could have some stuff too. But any site is welcome.
And to begin with... Jons - At Work On Several Things. It has a 60s inspired sound but creates a unique vibe that is dreamy, nostalgic and serene.
