>Get the perfect build
>Nearly 20 Brutality levels
>Do over 8K damage per hit (screenshot was taken several levels before Dracula)
>Alongside a 60% damage bonus against enemies who are bleeding
>Get to Dracula, a pretty simple but long and tanky boss
>Instantly die to some offscreen bullshit while healing
>Don't even get a chance to get him to phase two
I have never been so fucking angry in my life

Stil mad at the modern state gaming where you can never really own a game and everything's digital, everything's pretty fucking mediocre and EVERYTHING is an open world RPG. also political bullshit being crammed in along with the price range being too high

It's frustrating as fuck, but it seems like developers nowadays are at least trying their hardest to make their games good. I can guarantee you none of the people actually working on this stuff WANT their games to be like this, but the higher ups demand it and so they just try their best. Personally, I'm excited to play the Dead Space remake when I eventually get that but there's no fucking way I'm going to spend 60 dollars on it. I might pirate it once it's available

Still I wonder why they replaced isaac with fireman sam in the dead space remake with basically no reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVIsb80YcyM [Play]

I downloaded TBoI Rebirth's Repentance DLC as soon as a pirated version of the it surfaced. I decided to do a Keeper run since I hadn't done much with him. I played for a bit until I got a godly run and breezed through everything, even Hush since I didn't have its mark with Keeper. I decided that I might as well get to Delirium while I'm at it since that boss is bullshit, and I got to him and barely made it out alive only for Delirium to softlock the fucking run. I waited for hours and Delirium's death animation never stopped. Countless runs of mine had been lost to a random, unavoidable telefrag from this buggy faggot, but this was the last straw for me. I played a bit more of the game but I just quit it before even unlocking any Tainted character.
Now I exclusively play regular Afterbirth when it comes to nuIsaac and I refuse to deal with a poorly programmed and designed boss. Fuck Edmund and I hope Kilburn gets rectal cancer.

You can still "own" games if you pirate them and archive all setup files in an external HDD or something like that, but yeah, the push to make everything digital is shit. Even if you buy a physical game it needs to download 5GBs or more worth of patches and shit that should have shipped with the game in the first place.

New VA, new mocap actor. It's simple as that. Personally, I prefer the more "normal" looking Isaac. In general I like games that don't have conventionally attractive protagonists like Watch Dogs and Dead Space. The only reason I'm willing to let it pass is because you only see his face maybe once or twice in the entire game and otherwise his "real face" is just the engineering helmet.
I recently replayed 2 and it frustrates me to Hell and back that Isaac keeps taking his goddamn helmet off for no reason. I get they were trying to make the series more generic but fuck. It would have been much cooler if he only took his helmet off in the eye pierce machine at the end. The game is still good but it's taken down by the helmet thing

>Be playing Darkest Dungeon
>Almost ready to take on the last area, nearly three full teams of level 6 characters
>Then, the Brigands attack
>The entirety of my second best team died. Simon, Dismas, Prestcote, and Restault
>A Crusader, Highwayman, Arbalest and Vestal accordingly
>It call came down to Dismas facing off against basically an entire army
>He survived a surprisingly long time. He always was the toughest
>Then, all of their trinkets were stolen
>To get them back, I had to hunt down the Shrieker, a level 6 boss
>The only team I had that could possibly have a chance at recollecting our stolen goods was a team with a level 3 front liner
>They were being demolished. Two of the team were stressed beyond belief and two others were on Deaths Door constantly
>When things seemed bleakest, the new recruit got too stressed and rolled Courageous
>Despite having only a 13% chance to hit, the new recruit landed every single one
>He did nearly 30 damage per hit, absolutely decimating the boss within record time
>He literally saved the day in more ways than one
I hate this game sometimes. It's RNG bullshit. But sometimes, that RNG bullshit can make for some real interesting stories

I had a real heated moment recently playing ds3. Bascially, I was fighting the demon prince boss, and I was able to bring it to <10% of health. It was a quite intense battle, and it took me several attempts to reach that point.
And that's when I ran out of mana flasks. Yep, I'm a pyromancer. I could do nothing but stare at it as it killed me.
This boss was otherwise quite fun actually, and it looks pretty awesome. But I really dislike the fact that I had to grind for it. This has never happened before; I never had to grind to beat a boss because it was always a skill issue, or I could go to some other area first instead. Here instead my only options were to optimize the fight in order to consume less health flasks (fucking bullshit) or farm. And it's the first time I really had to go farm some souls to deal more damage and look up on youtube locations of bonus flasks, and that was quite disappointing. I finally beat it today. I'm a bit tired of this game to be honest, the last couple bosses burned me out, but I gotta finish it...

RNG taketh, RNG giveth, lol. I find it interesting how RNG can contribute to a game being really fun if it's balanced. I've been playing a deck builder called dominion lately and while randomness has much influence, skill still matters a lot; so in the end it's a good mix. No-RNG games like chess instead can become a headache pretty quickly.

Not really about the game itself but it really pissed me off. I had downloaded Factorio yesterday and spent the entire day playing it. After the gaming session I realized I had gotten 1.1.3 something instead of the most recent one (1.1.80), so I went and downloaded it, choosing to uninstall the old version. Today I wanted to resume my game and realized the uninstaller also deleted my save. Really pissed me off, the fucking thing didn't even ask me if I wanted to delete saved games like other uninstallers do

How is the remake? Is it another shit remaster or does it fix some problems that the original game had. Is there a focus on psychological horror? Besides that one thing you brought up, How are the graphics? Do they hold up? Or is the whole thing something to rage about?

As a pretty big fan of the original, I actually really like the remake. I would absolutely recommend it but the game is riddled with audio bugs. From nape to navel the audio is absolutely terrible. Oftentimes big combat segments would be dead silent. Music won't play at all or will only start to play well after the combat's over. Sound effects would drop or be extremely delayed, oftentimes not playing at all.
I'm a massive fan of the original Dead Space, and I think this game is really good. The gameplay is solid, the weapon rebalances are great, the changes they made to the formula were almost exclusively positive, the new story is interesting, and I like Isaac's writing. But, I just CAN'T recommend this because the audio problems are so pervasive they will ruin the entire experience.
