>Be playing Darkest Dungeon
>Almost ready to take on the last area, nearly three full teams of level 6 characters
>Then, the Brigands attack
>The entirety of my second best team died. Simon, Dismas, Prestcote, and Restault
>A Crusader, Highwayman, Arbalest and Vestal accordingly
>It call came down to Dismas facing off against basically an entire army
>He survived a surprisingly long time. He always was the toughest
>Then, all of their trinkets were stolen
>To get them back, I had to hunt down the Shrieker, a level 6 boss
>The only team I had that could possibly have a chance at recollecting our stolen goods was a team with a level 3 front liner
>They were being demolished. Two of the team were stressed beyond belief and two others were on Deaths Door constantly
>When things seemed bleakest, the new recruit got too stressed and rolled Courageous
>Despite having only a 13% chance to hit, the new recruit landed every single one
>He did nearly 30 damage per hit, absolutely decimating the boss within record time
>He literally saved the day in more ways than one
I hate this game sometimes. It's RNG bullshit. But sometimes, that RNG bullshit can make for some real interesting stories
