I was trying out Comes alive for 1.7.10 and I stumbled upon guards being awake and in bed at the same time while they move around at night. I don't know the exact reason for this since last time I tried this mod was years ago on 1.6.4 and it didn't do this, even with a ton of other mods installed at the same time.
I thought Dragon block C was going to be the one mod that would trivialize any kind of challenge offered by the other ones, but in the end it was the guns lol
>>255
is it me or did they make bad choices with minecraft in general? it feels like they are trying to turn it into an RPG and theve added mods that feel almost alien to minecraft in general. not to mention the difficulty being pretty damn punishing.
>>429
i meant mobs, not mods lol
>>429
>is it me or did they make bad choices with minecraft in general?
They've been raping the game's corpse for almost a decade
>it feels like they are trying to turn it into an RPG
I loved RPG mods back when people actually made them and current minecraft wishes it had half the content, cohesion and depth of any mod that includes new ores, mobs, dimensions and blocks.
>and they've added mobs that feel almost alien to minecraft in general
I wouldn't word it like that, but I do dislike a ton of current mobs, particularly every single one added after they expanded The End
>Not to mention the difficulty being pretty damn punishing
You can't be serious, the trademark of current minecraft is that it's a cakewalk if you even remotely know what you are doing. If you find a village you've already gotten through the hard part because now you can breed villagers in farms and end up with an infinite supply of enchantments, food, weapons, armor, tools and some specific blocks. Not even mentioning Mending which makes your tools functionally unbreakable since it repairs the weapon by absorbing XP while it's in either one of your hands and it requires so little that you can fully repair a fucked up Netherite pickaxe and a decently damaged set of netherite armor just by trading potatoes with a couple of villagers or having a small chicken farm.
And don't forget you can also reroll the villager's initial trades by giving them a job, checking to see if you'll approve and if you don't, breaking the job block and placing it again until you get what you want. It's more tedious than actually hard, I've spent up to two hours just rerolling enchantments in numerous worlds over these last years since the village and pillage update.
The only hard enemy in current minecraft is the endless bloat of useless blocks they implement in mines just to fill up your inventory.
I think the best ways to enjoy minecraft are modding older versions for crazy shid (1.12.2, 1.7.10, 1.6.4) and playing beta 1.7.3 if you really liked the classic minecraft dynamic along with old terrain generation and many more limited things in general.
>>255
Today, I started playing Minecraft and look forward to posting my creations and interesting developments.
>>507
Sounds great! Good look surviving lol.
A year ago i was playing minecraft without being aware of all the changes that was made. I had played the xbox 360 version and just had gotten the xbox one version and did fine untill a bunch of pillagers raided my home. I was busy mining and had nothing but dirt and ore and a pickaxe and was going to put my shit away when my doors got kicked in by the fucking pillagers and they raided me. all my armor and shit was at the second story of my house and i nearly died getting to it, After freaking out i finally got all the shit i needed and dropped everything else and went full retard. I had enchanted chainmail armor and a diamond sword, and an enchanted bow with a fuck ton of arrows and i slaughtered them all out of spite and there was like two squads of them fucking everywhere. The crossbow was the worst but for what it was worth, at least i didn't die.
I don't play modern Minecraft. However, I will occasionally play older pre-Microsoft buyout versions like 1.6 or Beta 1.7.3 and build random little things. I'm gonna post a few.
The first two images are from a small project of mine where I "updated" a village into a completely livable state, with proper roads and houses and businesses.
The next two I did in survival-- one is a work-in-progress Nether castle and the other is a small little house I made in an older Beta version.
>>522
Will be closing the server for the night
>>523
Under the stone and next to the tree looks like a nice place to make a house.
>>524
You can join and make one there
An assortment of screenshots + a variant of the group photo
>>527
Lol, the third photo makes me think of gas chambers. What are your plans anon?
>Making an underground tunnel
>Find lava in front of me despite being on y:11
>Decide to go up and get rid of whatever lava source is obstructing me
>Two of them, get rid of one
>As soon as I get ready to get the second one a creeper blows up pint blank behind me and throws me into the lava
>Survive with half a heart and put the fire out with water
"Man that was clos-"
>Second creeper blows my ass up
At least I only lost some armor and a stack of diamonds. Surprised most of my stuff survived
>>527
Nice shaders, what are they called? Also, this is why I recommended SKLauncher lol. That way we can see each other's skins.
And yet another group photo variant
>>528
That's where I put my wheat farms. Two rows of 6 wheat and then water behind the pillar. I do enjoy the aesthetic it had before I actually planted the crops though
>Fell straight into lava 100 blocks shy of finishing the tunnel
It's over
>>531
I will pick up the mantle, don't worry
>>526
I'm the big tree in the background.
>>519
I think you misunderstood, I quit playing xbone 420 and i picked up xbox series x version which had the phillager update. I think the last update i ever saw for the xbox 360 had those rockets, adventure mode and that ligt beam thingy.
Since emeralds are extremely easy to get from villager trades, emerald ores are objectively way more valuable that actual emeralds, aren't they?
>>538
Silk Touch Time
Work on the spawn area is going decent. Got the nearby ruined Nether portal fixed up, and the spawn hut itself has been expanded a little bit. I'm wondering now what other sorts of small community projects could I take up?
>Lone dirt block just floating there
I wonder how does that even get generated
The crops keep getting expanded. I fear I'll have to begin growing radish just to keep it varied, as useless as that plant is. Also, server is closed for the night
Fucking finally got Unbreaking III. Only important ones missing at the moment are Respiration III and Depth strider III. The trident and the crossbow are meme weapons but I'll get those as well just to complete the collection
>>543
The farm seemed to end at the cliff when I was on the server. Are you thinking of extending the land?
>>545
Yeah, although it'll be quite complicated. The huge cliff will be a pain to make farmable but it's definitely doable. Thankfully since I demolished half of that small mountain to make the huge potato patch at the top I have enough dirt to make it work. Maybe I can make something with the space that most probably will be below the cliff but I have no idea of what at the moment
One thing I adore about Complementary shaders is how the ores (except coal) glow in the dark. Makes it near impossible to miss them and they just look cool
I was bartering with a Piglin because muh Soul speed. The chance of getting a random level Soul speed book is roughly 1% and I got it on the first try, not only that but it's a level III one so I don't need to barter anymore, at least not for this set. Man, how lucky, now I have a perfect no thorns armor
New addition to the spawn hut + a random assortment of screenshots
>>544
I finally got Piercing IV and though "I'm done with enchantment farming!" and then when I went to check if all the prices were correct, the fucking Respiration III villager was missing. No signs of creeper explosion or a zombie attack, he just vanished. And it was a good price, too, 16 emeralds. The worst thing about all this is that when I got him I also got like 3 Respiration III offers back to back with the next villager I was rerolling while now I'm not getting shit.
I had never realized just how abundant coal is if you don't ignore it. I got around 9 stacks of coal ore in just one trip. This trip also made me realize just how scarce gold is in the overworld since I only got a stack and one of gold ore, while I got around 5 stacks of iron ore, two stacks of redstone ore, half a stack of lapis ore and around 10 emerald ones.
>>553
Coal is such an underrated item to me because almost always I am cooking something and when I don't have coal it almost feels like I am out of place.
Minecraft on the xbox 360 had an interesting feature where you can really fuck with the world however you want it. You can turn all the blocks into TNT, You can engulf your world in water meaning its much harder to survive, it means you have to operate undergound untill your prepared and have proper potions to last longer underwater, and raiding villages. There would be no real mobs that would fuck with you unless you are in a cavern.
It was pretty neat.
With the xbox one version, i found that my key to survival is fishing lol. By fishing i get tons of food, and enchanted armor and items for free and with little effort. The second thing i needed was a bed so i can sleep regularly so i don't get attacked by those flying things.
We need to find something to name this mountain (+ other screenshots)
>>557
Mount Penile.
>>559
Mount Penile hanging over the Nile!
Nether screenshots + Mount Penile's sister mountain, Mount Vagile

I found some diamonds recently and it is always a satisfying moment!
>>571
I think showing off your avatar is more important than showing off those diamonds for you
I tried building a house deep underwater and man, getting all the water out is a fucking pain in the ass. Then, the next step is the lighting. Redstone torches are waterproof and the light thingies in the nether are also waterproof so they can go outside so it isnt pitch black. What i did is build a tunnel nearby so i can go to a place incase i am running low on air, and i had to make sure i still have some air left when i dive underwater to enter my home. Its probably more painful now with all the recent updates but i did it on old xbox minecraft and it was neat, since it wasn't the generic tree house or regular land house. I was going to expand my house with tunnels made of glass and with decent lighting that streched out everywhere but i never really finished it. Another house idea was to make a regular house thats suspended way high up in the air. It would mean finding a way to safely launch myself up, and a way to find my way down without taking damage and wasting resources (i did all of this in hard mode, survival) lol now after thinking about it i kinda did rip off bioshock.
>>572
I meant to show me with the diamond and no more and no less.
>Blackstone also functions as cobblestone
Huh, I didn't know that. Also, the server will be open for the rest of the day, 5+ hours at the very least
>>561
Did anyone ever climb Mt. Penile and plant a flag for 22chan superiority?
I've been fishing for literal HOURS and I haven't gotten a single saddle
>>582
I guess it depends how deticated you are on getting the saddle. For me it was instant lol, I got like three in a row and got frustrated be cause they where useless to me. Getting enchanted armor and enchanted fishing poles was absolutely the best. It made playing minecraft worth while. I built a gigantic sky scraper that went all the way underground and quite a bit high up untill i fucked up badily by going into a village and got killed by a creeper and lost my way home because i slept in a bed in the village. The village was way too far away from my skyscraper home and i was totally lost. I rage quit and deleted my world.
>>581
I died on Mount Penile because it is cursed.
>>582
Did you cook those fish?
Rare audio from the Mt.peenile incident that i obtained from liveleak.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=eGnH0u9lxes [Play]
You are right, i have heard the legends, For this far violet line could be nothing else than the terrible mountains of the forbidden land—highest of earth’s peaks and focus of earth’s evil; harbourers of nameless horrors and Archaean secrets; shunned and prayed to by those who feared to carve their meaning; untrodden by any living thing of earth, but visited by the sinister lightnings and sending strange beams across the plains in the polar night—beyond doubt the unknown archetype of that dreaded Kadath in the Cold Waste beyond abhorrent Leng, whereof unholy primal legends hint evasively, They were evil things—mountains of madness whose farther slopes looked out over some accursed ultimate abyss. That seething, half-luminous cloud-background held ineffable suggestions of a vague, ethereal beyondness far more than terrestrially spatial; and gave appalling reminders of the utter remoteness, separateness, desolation, and aeon-long death of this untrodden and unfathomed austral world.
>>587
Still haven't cooked them. They're a subpar source of food so I'll probably make a special novelty room just to cook them so they serve as decoration.
Also, server is open. Haven't hosted much lately because I was nolifing in other games for a bit
I found a makeshift ship and it looked cool swimming up to it!
A week back I went on an exploration. I found some exciting waterfalls that I found appealing. I ended up dying after I went over the mountain but it was a fun ride!
>>606
Its floating?
Also, Do you plan on doing anything with it? Did you explore it and if so was there anything inside?
A floating pirate ship would make for a neat house, i think its possible to nake working canons by using dispencers too.
>>619
I am trying to build up the courage to visit mount penile.
>>619
I went to Mount Penile and did not live to tell the tale. I fell on this tree and eventually died because of the mountain's power.
>>638
and so it shall be, mount peenile is a force of nature and is not to be trifled with. mount peenile claims another victim, and is baptised in the blood of the fallen.
>>639
Maybe the mythical mount penile will be merciful someday.
>>593
I've been trying to get into a nice spooky mood for the season. These legends of Mt. Penile tempt me, as horrors so often tempt the children of men.
>>639
you have forgotten the old tongue for penile means "no mercy" in our culture
>>641
I think it is in the trees that is what haunt us.
>>642
So fight fire with fire?
I cannot tell if I am on mount penile or some random mountain, but I did not die. It may be the worst is yet to come scenario to be honest I don't know.
Something big is going to happen on mount penile sometime soon.
>>656
Another spree killing?
the final solution to the villager question, or a sermon on the penile mount?
>>559
>>659
Before we find out what is happening, we need to figure out the coordinates. I need to train in case there are bad guys.
Enderman seems to be showing up all over the place. It is not surprising they are showing up in my house now that I see this.
Just recently finished my watermelon farm. I thought I had pumpkin seeds from an early mineshaft but apparently they aren't there anymore so I'll have to go hunt for another mineshaft or spawner in hopes of getting some.
Also, server is will be back online constantly again. Sorry for the downtime, it's not dead
>>667
It is a quite nice construction anon. Do you plan on being a watermelon addict?
What a pretty game. What a pretty world.
The view from Mt. Penile, plus the new garden at the spawn hut
>>667
I was building a Nether wart farm and apparently there was a pumpkin right here so I didn't even have to get one from another mineshaft. The fucker is standing right there, mocking me
>>679
What is even the use of a pumpkin? They just seem like a menace to building stuff.
>What is even the use of a pumpkin?
-Completing my crop collection
-Building scarecrows
-Putting pumpkin on head instead of a helmet
-Getting villager shekels
>They just seem like a menace to building stuff.
what
>>680
I like pumpkins because they make for nostalgic lighting
>>681
They only get in the way at some point.
>>682
Where would you put them?
>>681
You can't trust those fuckers, They like pretending they can't move but we all know they can. What are they planning?
I was checking the loot from my Skeleton farm and one motherfucker had Feather falling IV on his boots lol. I remember when you could craft Chainmail armor with fire blocks that you could only get through commands or the Too many items mod, so it having Fire protection III as well is quite fitting
>>745
Server is closed
>>746
How rare is that to find in the wild?
>>747
I've been reading the wiki for a while and it seems like it's not that rare since the server is on hard and this chunk is right on my base so the regional difficulty is either maxed or nearly maxed. What actually puzzles me is that the wiki states: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Skeleton#Geared_skeletons
>Enchantment is the same as on an enchantment table at level 5–22.
I didn't know Feather falling IV could be acquired in that level range, I thought those capped at level III like Fire protection.
I wasn't able to find anything more specific about the chance of the enchantments themselves so I imagine it works like villager trades: Completely random with everything having the same chance, and since it's limited by being in the 5-22 range then the chance for Feather falling IV is reduced further, so I can conclude it's not THAT rare, but Feather falling IV being available at such a low level is the actually surprising thing, or maybe the wiki is wrong but I highly doubt that.
Oh yeah, and server is open
Today I discovered you can actually equip armor on villagers with a dispenser. All these dudes will be sporting Diamond Protection IV from now on, and I'll add Unbreaking III as well just because I don't know if armor on villagers is unbreakable just like it is on regular mobs
>Turn villager into a zombie
>It suddenly gets a full set of Golden armor
Huh. I'll stick around to see if the armor is dropped when it transforms back
>>750
I'm late to post but it didn't. Oh well
The view from here is excellent in my opinion!
they added wolf armor in minecraft, and they added diffrent wolves per biomes. i think its a great addition because it extends the life of my furry friends and diffrent mobs per biomes are a neat touch. its still fucking strange to be playing on xbox after a year of being absent and seeing all kinds of strange shit in the game all of a sudden.
