Elaborate.
I wish puzzles were more like Tetris.

How so? I think Tetris (also a favorite of mine so posting it here) is quite literally THE perfect game. No unnecessary bullshit, zero story, fun, engaging and challenging core gameplay and it never ends until you lose. Trying to imitate or surpass Tetris is futile, so it's better if everyone does their own thing

I actually prefer the OG Panel de Pon because I love the cute aesthetic
Never could get into tetris attack / panel de pon despite the cute girls. I just can't get good no matter how hard i try.
As for my faves, I'm a mean bean kind of guy. YIPPIIEE

>THE perfect game

I don't like your post, anon.
I haven't played many puzzle games to be fair, but I've enjoyed puzzle 'n desu for the snes. It is a cute game where you have to push colored blocks around to make them appear in a line of three or more which makes them disappear. It also has a timer so you have to think quickly, although with emulators cheating is easy (I didn't). The music is neat, the visuals are pleasant, overall it feels quite nice to play although I've never finished it and recently have lost my saves after a retroarch update.
It is available in japanese only but it's not hard to guess what menu items mean and the story is illustrated.
