Terrible Album Art Thread Anonymous Sat 07/12/2024 4:38:53 AM 3 months ago No. 330

Before the internet became the dominant way to consume music, record stores were the primary place to obtain it. Sometimes, when the album art is aesthetically pleasing, you will want to check the album out. This thread I will start.
>Band
Acid Age
>Album title
Like a Runaway Combine Harvester in a Field of Crippled Rabbits
The album art is bad because the band is trying to look rad but ends up looking stupid. Animal cruelty is also not giving the art any choice.

I wanna know what the 22chan populous listens to! perhaps post a song a day or otherwise every time you visit. And be sure to discuss posted tracks with conviction!!! Here's hoping for eventual youtube embeds. I'll Start:

Corporeal Face: To Make It
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jUpOcbq728 [Play]

The drums in this are addictive and I love how every part is distinct in that no two sections sound exactly the same. I listen to a lot of drum & bass and acid techno, not exactly the same, but this is definitely my favorite track of its kind

A thread dedicated to Classical & Orchestral music

Symphonies, Operas, Group or Lone Performance.
Folk would normally be excluded however I see no need to do that here.

Thank you for going to that effort anon, but I think that those pieces are too mediocre. There must surely be something better out of Cambridge University, or by the British, French or German Orchestras?

You don't want a boring lesson. You want to inspire!

Brahms' 4th symphony and his Piano Concerto no. 1 are absolutely masterful. Some of the greatest pieces in the canon IMO

begging for music you can't seem to find? this thread is for you.
someone might have the songs and albums you like!
22chan allows up to 8 songs i think so that might be the perfect amount to request, unless you want less. also as a bonus if you don't want a song, but need help finding it, because you forgot, this thread is also for you. post the lyrics you can remember, and if you can't remember that, then focus on the beat and find a flute or something to re-create the music and we might have sharp enough ears to find the music you forgot!

I have this CD of an obscure band but it's a misprint and has a completely different album of theirs on it. I did some cursory searching and it doesn't seem like a lot of their music is online at all. I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd request this here anyway: If anyone could find the album in question I'd appreciate it. The music is just alright but I still want to listen to the album because I technically have it already and it feels like a kind of loose end if it remains a mystery to me...
I could also upload the stuff I have if anyone is interested.

It might be good to post some of the songs you have, some of the lyrics might be searchable online and lead to the mystery album

what's your thoughts on vinyl records? what do you own? what do you like?
personally i bought a cowboy bebop record (literally called cowboy bebop) for 30 bucks at walmart and it has all the best music from the anime. at first i regretted the price but i think i was stupid because it's high quality stuff and i've been replaying the album several times over lol.

Today it's much easier and more convenient to get access to music digitally through the internet as opposed to vinyl or cd, and the quality is as high if not higher. So when people buy vinyl, they do so for the sake of the "experience" of playing a vinyl record as opposed to pressing play on a phone or computer, and also to have a material trinket of an album they like. Vinyls' boxes often feature big and pretty covers, which looks neat.

I've come to the conclusion that for me personally it's not really worth it, but I can see the appeal. I've only ever bought two vinyls, one random jazz record in a shop (I never listened to it) and one of my favorite albums, "leaves turn inside you" by unwound. My dad also has a dozen records, but the record player rarely gets any use.

Basically a hypothetical theme song for an animated/sitcom adaptation of FoxTrot, a comic strip I enjoyed. I tried going for an 80s feel, but never got good enough results, so I ultimately went for a 60s vibe instead.

Ah cool, the ones that sang that Christmas Snoopy/Red Baron song. Yeah, I was definitely aiming for that post-Beatles effect, like '96 Tears' or 'Year 2525'.
