Thank you for going to that effort anon, but I think that those pieces are too mediocre. There must surely be something better out of Cambridge University, or by the British, French or German Orchestras?
You don't want a boring lesson. You want to inspire!

Bach is anything but mediocre
Flaming over Bach is truly one of 22chan's oldest traditions
Brahms' 4th symphony and his Piano Concerto no. 1 are absolutely masterful. Some of the greatest pieces in the canon IMO
begging for music you can't seem to find? this thread is for you.
someone might have the songs and albums you like!
22chan allows up to 8 songs i think so that might be the perfect amount to request, unless you want less. also as a bonus if you don't want a song, but need help finding it, because you forgot, this thread is also for you. post the lyrics you can remember, and if you can't remember that, then focus on the beat and find a flute or something to re-create the music and we might have sharp enough ears to find the music you forgot!3 replies (and 7 file replies) omitted. Perfect, now I can make a version that doesn't make me want to become an hero. Thank you for the sacrifice of your eardrums
I have this CD of an obscure band but it's a misprint and has a completely different album of theirs on it. I did some cursory searching and it doesn't seem like a lot of their music is online at all. I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd request this here anyway: If anyone could find the album in question I'd appreciate it. The music is just alright but I still want to listen to the album because I technically have it already and it feels like a kind of loose end if it remains a mystery to me...
I could also upload the stuff I have if anyone is interested.
>>363
It might be good to post some of the songs you have, some of the lyrics might be searchable online and lead to the mystery album
>>357
wasn't it in the 22chan nightcore thread
>>365
yeah and apparently the person who posted it even made his own version of it and catboxed it >>>/mu/102/#103 so I'll just upload it here before the link dies.
what's your thoughts on vinyl records? what do you own? what do you like?
personally i bought a cowboy bebop record (literally called cowboy bebop) for 30 bucks at walmart and it has all the best music from the anime. at first i regretted the price but i think i was stupid because it's high quality stuff and i've been replaying the album several times over lol.

Today it's much easier and more convenient to get access to music digitally through the internet as opposed to vinyl or cd, and the quality is as high if not higher. So when people buy vinyl, they do so for the sake of the "experience" of playing a vinyl record as opposed to pressing play on a phone or computer, and also to have a material trinket of an album they like. Vinyls' boxes often feature big and pretty covers, which looks neat.
I've come to the conclusion that for me personally it's not really worth it, but I can see the appeal. I've only ever bought two vinyls, one random jazz record in a shop (I never listened to it) and one of my favorite albums, "leaves turn inside you" by unwound. My dad also has a dozen records, but the record player rarely gets any use.
I thought with new /mp3/ board now it would be a good time to start discussing various music players and any plugins or skins.
https://www.foobar2000.org/ (encoder pack for easy conversion: https://www.foobar2000.org/encoderpack)
If you are currently in the use of foobar as a music player to play your albums I would like to know some of your favorite skins if you are using any. The last skin I remember using before switching was NekoRoX https://github.com/catlinman/foobar2000 although I remember there being some troubles with setting it up.
https://winamp.com/player (Yes, this is still a thing)
https://winyl-player.github.io/ This is the one I am currently using with this skin:
https://www.deviantart.com/pep0/art/Material-Light-and-Dark-for-Winyl-8-colors-597613989 https://files.catbox.moe/ortbyv.zip I catboxed it so you don't need to make a shitty deviant art account (unzip to C:\Program Files\Winyl\Skin).
I think one thing I really enjoyed about Winamp was how whenever you clicked on another song to play it would seamlessly transition into that song as though you were listening to a medley which is also present here.
I never really used 4chan's /mu/ board previously but I imagine you can find some interesting discussing about music players here to share: https://desuarchive.org/mu/search/subject/player/
Kinda unsure who in this day and age is still listening to Funkot but I wanted to make a thread since I was lurking the tag on nico nico https://www.nicovideo.jp/tag/funkot and I really fell in love with how unique some of them sound especially the ones using IM@S 1-2. If I had to guess this Shibamata MAD is probably one of my earliest introductions to it: https://youtu.be/FIw-HUP7XK0 [Play]

>Funkot (short for "Funky Kota") is a genre of electronic music that emerged in the 1990s. This music is a combination of House music with tempos ranging from 160 to 220 bpm (beats per minute). There are many other names for this genre, such as "Hardfunk," "House Kota," "House Music," "Indonesian House," and "Indonesian Hardcore."
https://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/funkot
>Main Characteristics
>Very high BPM, typically around 180-190, with some DJ performances pushing it to 190-200 BPM.
>Distinctive "Dotta Dotta!" funky beat.
>Thick, repetitive basslines, often layered with three different sounds.
>Heavy use of sampled voices like "Are you ready!" or "Deejay!"
>Frequent use of cowbell-like percussion.
>Sudden BPM drops mid-song, shifting the track into what seems like a completely different song (downbeat).
>Not all of these features are mandatory; there are songs without vocal samples. Original tracks, as well as remixes of Western pop, Japanese pop, and theme songs from anime or tokusatsu shows, are common. More recently, Funkot has incorporated elements from global EDM trends.
You can for example post about any good Japanese funkot albums from here: https://doujinstyle.com/?p=search&source=1&type=tags&result=Funkot

A thread to discuss and share any kind of metal music. As long as it's metal, it belongs here!
An encyclopedia of metal bands:

A torrent site exclusively for all kinds of metal music (Requires you make an account but it's very worth it, their library is huge):

I'll start the thread off with one of my personal favorites, a dark ambient black metal EP by a Russian band called The Last Three Winters. The EP's subject is the Dyatlov Pass incident, where a group of Russian hikers died in the mountains under mysterious circumstances. The entire EP is just over 15 minutes but it's a wild ride from start to finish.

Are there any new metal bands 22chan likes? When I say new I mean their first album was released in 2019/2020 or later. One band I would like to share is the band named the Lightbringer of Sweden. They have two albums and they are both quality releases. Their sound is traditional metal with a sense of melody. The cherry on top is their very good vocalist. If you want to check them out start from the beginning there are only two albums.
Earlier this week, I saw that Tyr would be releasing another album in April. I would be lying if I said I was a huge fan of the band, but I can't help but be excited because their music is pure fun to me. I plan on checking out more of their music in preparation for their new album.

I forgot one of the best death metal releases ends with a SNES rpg tier outro. It feels like it could come straight out of one of the final fantasy from around that time.

The title of the thread says the basic idea of the thread. In this thread, we will be comparing songs that share song titles. The thread would be more interesting if songs with different styles were used, but similar-style songs are still welcome. The more people thought, the better. I'll start with Stratovarius's "Man in the Mirror" vs Micheal Jackson's "Man in the Mirror."
Both songs are quality tracks, but the main factor for what song you will like better is the feeling you want at the moment. If you want a song that is more focused on your inner thoughts, Stratovarius wins, but if you want the song to inspire you, Micheal Jackson wins. In my state of mind, Stratovarius wins because it isn't a ballad, and it captures my attention more because of that.

This happens a lot with songs on the Super Eurobeat CDs. My theory is that it's a bootleggy trick to suggest you're getting a western radio hit. They don't even keep it 1:1. They stack this shit like it's dirt blocks and brother, they've got an Efficiency V diamond shovel

And for an honorable mention, Doctor and the Medic. Not a song but the name of a British band that attained brief notability in the mid 80s for a fairly dated and unremarkable cover of Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky. Really weird choice but I respect it.

Just the beginning, and for any one of these there'll also be at least 3 remixes. Shit's crazy yo.
To celebrate the Fourth of July, let's compare "Freedom" by Alice Cooper and Hammerfall. "Freedom" by Alice Cooper is an underrated 80s hard rock/metal classic. It has all the hallmarks of an awesome 80s metal track. It pumps you up, and the song encapsulates the word Freedom. The song has everything I love about 80s rock and the guitar solo rules. "Freedom" from Hammerfall is a quality new track from Hammerfall. Like most good power metal it is uplifting and epic. Since the track was released two days ago, it is unknown whether it will get better or not, but for now, Alice Cooper wins.

Post audio files that would be hard to find elsewhere.
Too short;elaborate: The music I posted is from a chiptune competition I found years ago and is not available on youtube, so it would be very unlikely for you to hear this song if not for me posting it. And yet I find it nice and worth sharing. In a more general sense, if you have some audio file you want to share but it's not available on youtube, you can post it here. When making this thread I was inspired by >>>/b/1390, which mentioned "rare mp3", so I thought people had an idea about what that was supposed to mean. Also, it's not that easy to explain what rareness in media means. That's why I decided to go for a minimal op. I'm sorry it wasn't very good, I'll try harder next time.
>>180 was meant for >>178. Have a song to justify the double post
I've found an album that I acquired by chance. Interestingly, it seems completely absent from google results (1/2)
