My co-worker and I are making a language, so I decided to make a flag for it. Perhaps one day, we'll even have our own micronation.
It has a fairly standard 2:3 aspect ratio, features my co-worker's favorite color, the letter ⟨o⟩ from our alphabet, and the inverted logo of our workplace.
The overall design has connotations of a cassette tape, an envelope, and the Duolingo / Glossika owls.
Please, forgive the terrible stitching. I have nearly no experience with hand-sewing.

Is there strange sound in your life? Do you want share! HEre is YPOUR chance!?
ITT: we gather a library of sounds that can be used in 22chan related projects. The idea is to eventually gather enough for use in audio-focused creativables. This could mean direct sampling, creation of an instrument bank, or as the base for processes like granular synthesis. Here's how it works:
If during your day you find a cool or interesting sound, record it. Don't worry about equipment, it is certain that your Nokia or whatever is cool enough for the job. Cleanup can be done later at any stage and by anyone. Some good songs to collect:
>machinery
>electronics
>field recordings (just record stuf in from the wooods and fields and grocery market, crickets and brids and strangers and stuff man)
>instruments
>spoken word
>weird shit you make on your computer
>cats
Any and all will be welcome. There is use for both long and short recordings.
>howtf do I UPLOAD THIz??!
The preferred method would be direct upload to 22chan. Check supported file types below posting form to see what audio you can post directly. Note that lossless formats will be converted to .mp3 at high quality. If 22chan won't fly for any reason, catbox is good. If you've got something truly massive, MEGA is the old reliable.
I'd advise against vocaroo, their links seem to go bad early in the average life expectancy of 22chan threads. OC has been lost to this before.

From the idea of >>>/meta/359, we'll take random posts from 22chan and turn them into drawings, whether they're full illustrations or just simple sketches. These could be anything from single drawings to mini-comic strips, depending on what fits best.

This is from >>>/sewers/1294/#1302.
I'm sure we could come up with some name for this pervert...

This thread is an extension of >>>/b/1239/
A dedicated thread for sharing resources on how to draw. This could include digitally scanned books, YouTube videos, art blogs, reference images, drawing software, etc. The material does not necessarily have to be in English, but translations are always appreciated.

I highly recommend using https://www.pureref.com/ for working with references.
Personally, I copy and paste any digitally scanned books I download into PureRef as well and browse through them while drawing. I believe many professionals in the industry use it as well as I found out about it through a 3D modeling course.

For a good starting point go to the 'how to' tag on ex/e-hentai: https://e-hentai.org/tag/other:how+to and you can use something like https://github.com/KurtBestor/Hitomi-Downloader to download the full gallery.
https://gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=how_to
https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?tags=how_to&z=5

My personal favorites for anime-style drawing:

As promised, I've attached some useful notes on perspective. (These are lower res versions than I was previously trying to upload, but they still seem legible.)
I also highly recommend How To Draw and How To Render by Scott Robertson, available here:
https://archive.org/details/how-to-draw-drawing-and-sketching-objects-and-environments-from-your-imagination
https://archive.org/details/Scott_Robertson_How_to_Render
These books go into technical detail on how perspective and light work, so you can draw with great accuracy using this knowledge. Applying the techniques rigorously does take a long time, but even if you don't intend to do that, it's still helpful to understand these principles.

This thread will serve as our starting point to work together as a community and remake the music video for "DAY TRIPPER" by HMO (HATSUNE MIKU ORCHESTRA): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7fAN7_7Gfw [Play] in the style of 22chan.
You can find the full album this video is part of here: http://mikudb.moe/album/zoshoku-gimi-x-near-equal-multiplies/
(If you haven't noticed, the original song is "Day Tripper" by The Beatles.)

A bit about the group that made the original video: HMO started as just one person when Hatsune Miku's voicebank initially released and was considered one of the main VOCALOID producers out there. Their main goal was to recreate songs by the music group 'Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO)', which was active from 1978 to 1983: https://youtu.be/Wmed0gmwzKY [Play]. They also worked hard to make Hatsune Miku's voicebank sing in English. You can basically find a cover from HMO of every album YMO has made utilizing Hatsune Miku's voicebank.
http://hmo.client.jp/

Based on the idea from >>>/b/302/#1653, we'll replace the girl in the music video with someone wearing a suit that resembles Anonymous' outfit, complete with a greenscreen suit underneath. They'll also need to either make or buy a box similar to the one in the music video, place the image from >>>/b/302/#390 inside, and then imitate the poses with the box for a photo or video. Remember, protecting our anonymity is crucial, so don't accidentally reveal your identity. Another great idea mentioned by another anon is to take a picture of yourself and then draw over it which will add a unique touch to the video while protecting your anonimity.
We need to decide on the background, but the initial thought was to collect a variety of interesting website links as if 22chan is visiting different places online. However, I'm considering expanding the options to include stuff like real-life locations or in-game screenshots. What do you think?
For the lyrics, if anyone has some great ideas, we could rewrite them like the lyric rewrite threads on /sewers/ (see: >>>/sewers/756#756). The original lyrics to the DAY TRIPPER video can be found at this link: https://amara.org/videos/F0FkKyXEzb2U/en/287118/ or in this image from the official album: https://files.catbox.moe/f1h0sx.jpg [Show]. If anyone is interested, you can also sing the rewritten lyrics or recreate the vocals in something like UTAU or Vocaloid. On another note, I'm currently working on the UTAU voicebank for Niniba, so stay tuned for that!
We will also need to discuss the original meaning of the video, like is there any meaning as to why this girl is in Akihabara holding the box in these random places? How does it correlate to the song's lyrics? Why does it say X = Multiplies? and so on.
Lastly, it's important to note that when we recreate the video in the style of 22chan, we should base it on the current imageboard culture of 22chan, and not let outsiders inject their unrelated shit into our project.
In my next post, I will try to discuss information about the project a bit more, but again I will link the 22chan software thread because the stuff here will be required to make the video (>>>/b/1239#1239).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4hWMqYCGKQ [Play] This is what the album is based on and HMO's version has similar tracks to this with their own comedy sketches yet they are all in Japanese as to where here some of them are in English (Please listen to it!)
In HMO'S version the comedy sketches (HMO ON THE AIR) also include their own images to represent them visually so I'll upload them as files to this post.
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/X%E2%88%9EMultiplies
The album contains songs recorded between 1978 and 1980.
The American release of the album came about because Horizon Records, which was supposed to release YMO's album "Solid State Survivor" in the U.S., ceased operations. As a result, "Solid State Survivor" was not initially available in the U.S. Subsequently, A&M Records compiled this best-of album, which included tracks from "Solid State Survivor" and the already released Japanese album "増殖" (Zōshoku, translated as "Multiplication").
Haruomi Hosono, a member of YMO, was against the release of "X∞Multiplies" in Japan because it contained the same tracks as "増殖," which had just been released, and he feared it would cause confusion.

X∞Multiplies (Verb, about ongoing increase) - Suggests that something is growing or increasing without end. This could basically be interpreted as the band's creative output multiplying or their influence spreading infinitely, which is why you see the same person multiplied on the cover infinitely.
X≒Multiples (Noun, about similarity) - Suggests a comparison when you add the same number of things over and over, akin to having several versions or instances of a theme or element (basically the same thing as the previous definition). Visually represented by Miku's recurring image on the cover, it symbolizes the replication of her music's essence across the world as if she is taking over?
So with X≒TwentyTwo we are basically saying that X it is in some way similar to or not much different from twenty-two. Basically it could mean that X embodies qualities or attributes that are close to TwentyTwo which I guess is pretty good way to put it?

I was trawling da interwebz for sheet music and found an orchestral score for Day Tripper. It reminded me of this thread and made me think, "is this a good offering to raise a stillborn thread from its little baby grave?" Then I remembered that death doesn't exist on 22chan so it was a silly question anyway

'Twas a grim day, when Fat Cat came to town. Fatipher was his given Christian name, but he was not a very Christian cat. He always found the things he took to be more valuable than the things he was given. So, he took the name of Fat Cat and it was Fat Cat that came to town.

At the first sight of Fat Cat's unmistakable silhouette, crowds dispersed, shutters were closed, and curtains were drawn. Fat Cat didn't mind. He preferred it this way.
Apart from Fat Cat's own footfalls, the only sound that could be heard was the hum of a hurdy gurdy on the street corner. There sat old Skinny Kitty, cranking away obliviously, his upturned hat no fuller for it.

A while ago I made a neocities website for 22chan with the idea of having the account credentials shared openly so that everybody could join in on adding stuff to it. It worked nicely at first, but unfortunately (and unsurprisingly) somebody shitted it up. So now I'm the only one with access to it.
Despite that, I'd like to keep the original spirit of collaboration intact. So this thread is for suggesting edits, additions and anything you'd like to see on the site.
Maybe you could even download the site, make some local changes, upload the new version to catbox as a zip file and I can take a look at it and update the website.
Here's the site: https://22chan.neocities.org
Sorry for not making this sooner

That's not a bad idea imo. I think more in general it would be nice to have pages on popular 22chan topics, saving some of the most popular memes and OC, unless anons prefer to keep those things ethereal of course. But in a way that's what it already is, in a chaotic way. The problem here is that that would require a bunch of work, so there have to be people willing to do it.
For now I just feel like the main page is getting a bit long/hard to navigate, that's why I made a separate OC page; some structure seems beneficial. But as you noticed it kind of sucks, I'm not a great web designer. I'd appreciate help.
But anyway, if you want to make a niniba page, please repost here the images (or links to them) to include and write the text you want to see on the site.

Have you ever noticed how often anime studios take major shortcuts when animating their shows nowadays? Even worse, many new anime series aren't even made in-house anymore but outsourced to other third-world shitholes, and even when they aren't, a lot of the new people in the industry lack the skills of previous generations...
Share and discuss any anime you remember with crappy, poorly made, or just plain weird animations that you come across.

This particular clip is from the THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE: BEYOND THE BRILLIANT FUTURE! which is just another god damn awful production that drags the original IM@S franchise even further through the dirt.
This is the only clip of really weird weird animation in the entire movie. It basically looks like the animators themselves went out and filmed themselves as the characters and then decided to trace over themselves not realizing how a manly posture doesn't really fit these idols. I wonder whose ideas this was but there's way too many frames in this and in the end all of this work didn't really pay off.

whats with the choppy framerate? an artistic choice?
Anonymous Tue 09/05/2023 3:00:49 AM 2 years ago MER No. 45

I am just guessing here but because this is a movie they wanted to include a special scene where the animation was really fleshed out compared to other scenes which is how the idea of them recording themselves and then tracing over it came to be.
The thought process might have been that the more frames there are the better the animation quality will look, right? So once they recorded the clip they decided to split the frames from 30 fps to 16fps or 8 fps and then draw each single individual frame which is how you get this choppy looking frame rate.
Maybe they were too shy to hire a girl or get one of the VAs to do the scene for them which would might have yielded different results but looking at it I think the main problem is that they got tired of drawing that many frames for a single scene and got very lazy in making sure that each frame has perfect quality.

That's obviously rotoscoped. I guess it usually does come off as uncanny. I watched Bocchi the Rock! recently and I didn't really liked how it looked there, either. I could even say it looks more like cheap CG than rotoscoping.
