I hate this game sometimes. It's RNG bullshit. But sometimes, that RNG bullshit can make for some real interesting stories

I had a real heated moment recently playing ds3. Bascially, I was fighting the demon prince boss, and I was able to bring it to <10% of health. It was a quite intense battle, and it took me several attempts to reach that point.
And that's when I ran out of mana flasks. Yep, I'm a pyromancer. I could do nothing but stare at it as it killed me.
This boss was otherwise quite fun actually, and it looks pretty awesome. But I really dislike the fact that I had to grind for it. This has never happened before; I never had to grind to beat a boss because it was always a skill issue, or I could go to some other area first instead. Here instead my only options were to optimize the fight in order to consume less health flasks (fucking bullshit) or farm. And it's the first time I really had to go farm some souls to deal more damage and look up on youtube locations of bonus flasks, and that was quite disappointing. I finally beat it today. I'm a bit tired of this game to be honest, the last couple bosses burned me out, but I gotta finish it...

RNG taketh, RNG giveth, lol. I find it interesting how RNG can contribute to a game being really fun if it's balanced. I've been playing a deck builder called dominion lately and while randomness has much influence, skill still matters a lot; so in the end it's a good mix. No-RNG games like chess instead can become a headache pretty quickly.

Not really about the game itself but it really pissed me off. I had downloaded Factorio yesterday and spent the entire day playing it. After the gaming session I realized I had gotten 1.1.3 something instead of the most recent one (1.1.80), so I went and downloaded it, choosing to uninstall the old version. Today I wanted to resume my game and realized the uninstaller also deleted my save. Really pissed me off, the fucking thing didn't even ask me if I wanted to delete saved games like other uninstallers do

How is the remake? Is it another shit remaster or does it fix some problems that the original game had. Is there a focus on psychological horror? Besides that one thing you brought up, How are the graphics? Do they hold up? Or is the whole thing something to rage about?

As a pretty big fan of the original, I actually really like the remake. I would absolutely recommend it but the game is riddled with audio bugs. From nape to navel the audio is absolutely terrible. Oftentimes big combat segments would be dead silent. Music won't play at all or will only start to play well after the combat's over. Sound effects would drop or be extremely delayed, oftentimes not playing at all.
I'm a massive fan of the original Dead Space, and I think this game is really good. The gameplay is solid, the weapon rebalances are great, the changes they made to the formula were almost exclusively positive, the new story is interesting, and I like Isaac's writing. But, I just CAN'T recommend this because the audio problems are so pervasive they will ruin the entire experience.

Let us discuss the Dark Soul's trilogy, from lore to gameplay to anything else that's relevant. What's Dark souls? A third-person, dark fantasy action adventure RPG With a focus on minimalistic storytelling and exploration.
Your goals: Understand what's even happening and Survive
Personally, I had quite the adventure after beating the first game and am currently playing the second game in the series. It seems like there was quite a bit of discussion about dark souls on the last site and I think this thread might not burn out too early.

For some reason i became burnt out of ds2 and i was thinking of playing ds3 then backpedaling. am i retarded? should i beat ds2 first or does it even matter?

DS3 has some tiny references to DS2 but for the most part they're completely disconnected. 3 is a direct sequel to 1 but in terms of mechanics it's more of a regression of 2.
You can play the games in whatever order you want though, it doesn't matter unless you care about following the lore

I had basically went against advice from an anon and basically grinded until i maxed out my stats for my zwihander build and I also damn near fully upgraded my elite knight set and i pretty much blazed trough the game without any problems lol. two/three hits killed every boss but i did sweat with kalameet. getting to the boss area was hard enough with him KOing me within seconds and then battling him was insane, i had to be real quick and it took 5 hits overall to kill him. manus spooked the hell out of me but was trivial. its a build to play on a second playthrough but it didn't ruin my experience overall.

My only problem with this approach is that magic one shotted me so basically i had to be on my toes. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

I liked how Oolacile was actually that wood area in dark souls. It was a neet revelation. It was sad to see that Sif recognised you as the person who saved her and slain Artotias. It was interesting to enter a world that had just became an apocalypse and was still bright and clean. Kinda like the beginning stage of a zombie apocalypse, everyone was infected but life was still there. The chimney fire was still burning in the houces you enter and the people there was freshly infected by darkness.

Share your zips, installers and torrents here.

Here is a zip that has Scarface: The World Is Yours for PC.
The game's graphics normally break on anything beyond Windows 7, so it includes a fix to that.
The config file is set to 1080p widescreen.
The animations look sped up if you are playing with a remotely decent GPU and get too many frames (100+), and it may also cause random crashes; so it's better if you lock the framerate at 60fps or less.
The .exe has to run with Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and fullscreen optimizations disabled to prevent stuttering. I've already configured this before zipping it so the game is just ready to be extracted and played.

https://igg-games.com/dark-souls-prepare-to-die-206754061-edition-pc-free-download.html The MegaUp link should still work I usually used to use this website to pirate games so it's safe as far as I know but they put their own DRM into these things so a bit annoying.

No one needs to feel guilty to pirate shit whatsoever. These companies do not deserve your money. You are better off buying only if you love the thing and want a physical copy. the same can be said for anything else from Mangas to comics.

Anyone here played The Evil Within games? I think they're really good games. What do you think?

The art direction as a whole is very creative, especially the monster design. I felt like a lot of enemy encounters were unique both in style and approach, especially bosses. Some bosses needed a special approach but others were just "SHOOT IT UNTIL IT DIES". Which isn't bad!
The level design was really cool as well. I loved how unpredictable the levels were. Since the game essentially takes place inside someone's memories the devs could take a lot of liberty when creating the levels and it makes total sense in the context of the game. I think it was very well done.

Another thing both games nailed is the atmosphere. The lighting, sound design and grainy saturation tie together beautifully to scare the shit out of you. I did think the first game did this better than the second. Sneaking around and assassinating enemies was super fun and tense.

The difficulty was really punishing, which I thought was fun. It is a survival horror game, after all. It kept you on your toes throughout the entire game. I still needed to take a break sometimes lol. It felt really good to finally take down a huge boss enemy after pelting him with all your shotgun ammo, crossbow bolts and grenades.

I agree with this anon.
I think I remember playing the first Evil Within game but quit after a short while because I'm not good with horror video games that actually scare me. I couldn't even finish the first few days of Darkwood and had to result to watching other people play it instead.

Worms Armageddon is fun! This game has tons of customization (pic related is all custom terrains) and there's a lot of depth to the gameplay, yet it's still very playable as a casual party game. It goes on sale frequently on Steam, but it can also work online even if you pirate it. Here's a link, courtesy of 4/vm/:

If there proves to be enough interest, I may use this thread to host games for 22chan, or maybe even a tournament.
If you want to play with custom terrains, you'll need the following add-on (wkTerrainSync):

If I end up hosting matches for 22chan, they will be located in the #AnythingGoes channel with the password "caturday". Let me know if you have any questions about gameplay or installation, and maybe I can help. Here's a big gameplay tutorial to get you up to speed on advanced tech:
